I'm on the complete opposite side of the spectrum of everything in your statement.

This beer reminds me of Hopslam for some reason.

It is interesting people complaining about the price since they are 16 ounces.

As someone that's typically been unimpressed with Troegs, this is a very good offering. I would drink it regularly.

I had it a few days ago. It was an ok DIPA. I paid $5 for a single can though, but it was 16 oz can so not that horrible a value for a high ABV drink. Better options that are also easy to find, but its decent and others may enjoy a little more than I did.

"3M" Central Jersey (junction of Monmouth, Middlesex & Mercer counties) BA's looking for this should stop into the East Windsor/Hightstown Bottle King on Rt. 130 South - still about 2 cases worth of 4 packs a good two weeks after I bought my first. $11.99. Unfortunately, on the warm shelf in their Troegs area.

Had this again today, on draft, side by side with ASOHTC.

I guess the cans I got previously on launch week were infected or contained dead hops (distributor, retaler mishandling), because it was amazing on draft. And ASOHTC was really disappointing. Not even close to Nimble Giant.

The hop balance and formula was very well executed.

I did a side-by-side between SOHTC and Nimble Giant both from cans a week or so ago and I enjoyed NG a lot more. SOHTC had an astringent taste when compared to NG.

    Comments and questions.
Comment: pricing on nimble seems rights, $12 or so for 16 oz four pack of doubles is market rate.
Comment: i have seen $2 or more price difference on many beers even in the same town, where they got from same distributors.
Question: ton of shape of hops to come on shelves near me. Is this a highly sought after beer? I had it last year and assumed the stock i sae was old

It used to be. It's also not nearly what it once was. Word is some quality control issues since they went full time with it.

I got a 4-pack of SoHTC in Pennsylvania last Tuesday that was canned 6/17. I had one of them last week and it tasted delicious.

Agreed. It was always a malty IPA but now it's all malt, even fresh.

Not the pack I got last month. Maybe just batch variation.

Had it fresh at the brewery the other day and it was nice n' juicy... Malty? I got no malt flavor per-say, just sweetness. But it was not the old-IPA sweetness but more the NE style trait. Had a juicy hop profile. I like it, but a bit too high ABV... If it was 1-2% less I think the beer would improve, balance wise. Thought the same the past few years I have had it as well.

Had Nimble Giant on tap at Troeg's and didn't like it and would've shared the sentiments of the many naysayers here. Took a can to-go to revisit and I thought it was great.

Certainly leans more old school/west coast but great hop flavor, feel and easy as hell to drink given the ABV.

I think the beer merits purchase of a 4-pack and like any beer a few tries before writing it off.
