Not sure if it's every day, but the "people in the know" get there early when they're told a release is coming from whoever is slipping them info.

I agree it's a lot to crank out with 1 credit card machine and usually 2 guys behind the counter.

selling 225 allotments in 50 mins would be 1 allotment/transaction every 13.33 seconds... thats some fast business!

It's not like there's anything else to do once you get to the counter other than tell them how many crowlers you want, hand over cash/dip your card and then leave.

well, there's no delay due to customer trying to decide among multiple options... I think everyone takes a full allotment which would allow it to go very quick - basically swipe and sign 225 times, if no cash transactions...

Yeah, really...how long could it take to ring up two cans per person?

Probably more than 10 seconds. I’ve seen people cluelessly try to BS with Alex while purchasing. back when I made to the first few releases. I think it’s interesting what was posted above that they sell through the pre-announcement line before posting on IG. That makes it seem a lot more likely than 230 sales in 50 min.

I'm speculating here, but perhaps they also may do a quick headcount of the line at some point before they actually process all the sales, and if they know there's enough people there that it well sell-out, they can avoid more people needlessly making the trip, rather than show it is still "available" when there's only 5-10 allotments left... for example.

Anyone try the collab with Kane? Missed it myself but I have heard mixed things.

They do this. If they'll sellout with the current line, they'll update the IG post to save people the trip.

Happened to be playing golf right down the road yesterday and completely lucked out with the release. I also think I lucked out because it was a Pilsner as opposed to a stout or IPA that wouldn’t have lasted three hours or so. The Pilsner is really, really good.

I go to BFT every couple of months, but this was the first time actually inside Troon since I had a growler filled in April 2017.

Used to be a regular but timing wise things haven't worked out and I don't think I've been there in almost a year. Hopefully they expand in a way where I can enjoy their stuff more often, but there's plenty of good beer.

My wife and I are going as well as some of our neighbors (one of my neighbor's band is playing the fest). If the beers are anything like the last anniversary party, I'll be happy. I bought the food option, since I figured between the two of us, it'd be over $30 in food spent, especially after drinking.

The breweries attending is a fairly impressive list tbh and i assume the food would be great?

any idea on if this is more low key or how packed it would get?

Total of 300 tickets are being sold with a around 200 sold already as per one of the bartenders in charge of the event.

The restaurant won't be open to the public for lunch service that day either.

I went to the Haze It Forward event at Imprint a few weeks back and they had about 300 tickets. I never waited in line for more than a minute or two and it was not crowded. I'm assuming that this will either be behind the Tavern or in the field next to Troon, both of which are bigger than the set up at Imprint. Liking the limit of 300.

It'll be held in the grass area behind the tavern

Anyone have any insights into a new beer that showed up on Untappd yesterday about a day ago - Heterophobia? Just a joke maybe?

Not a real beer. User that created it is named LolUmad. Gave it a .75 rating and only signed up yesterday.

I'm sure it's some troll that constantly gets shut out on crowlers.

Entry has already been removed from Untappd.

Happens a lot. Just people upset they don't get crowlers. Even though they lasted like 3 hours yesterday
