I think Troon is the last long line left in America.

I made it to the release for the most recent stout at 5:30, saw the line, turned around, and drove home. I've stood in many lines before and definitely don't look down upon people who think it's worth the time/energy but that one made it into "nah I'm good" territory for me.

Tree House still packs it in but, yeah. Troon is likely the last “be here before we open or you’re fucked” brewery

I got there about the same time and the line was long, but I think I might have waited 15 minutes tops. I started out almost the end of the covered parking. The line was artificially long as well due to there being no snaking line inside, as it was blocked off. Once you got to the door, there were 2-3 people in front of you.

Damn. That's exactly what I was hoping not to hear when I commented... figured there was an inside loop like usual (adding 15 min), guess I should have checked!

Anyway: there are still plenty of lines across the country at breweries, just not so many in the NJ/NY/PA area. Seems like theres' more production / lower demand / better distribution methods from the usual suspects.

Which is a good thing. Less lines, more good beer.

A little part of me wishes that the demand remained as high while being able to obtain the beer as easily, but I get that one is a function of the other and I'm definitely not complaining about obtainable beer in the area.

Yeah, it was a strange set up imho. I missed the pre sale, but happened upon the post on FB saying the rest of the tickets would be released at 6 on IG. So I grabbed 2 when they did. But kind of weird to do it that way.

There were multiple notices and presale invites that went out to people before the release (at least three "waves"). Seemed like an effort to allow locals / longtime fans to get priority.

    Odd.

I follow Brick Farm on Facebook and Instagram and the only thing I saw was the public post they made on Instagram Friday night saying tickets were on sale and they sold out in about 10 minutes.

I saw one message posted in each the Troon FB groups regarding the presale. That was maybe 1:30-2 pm-ish. That was the first batch of tickets released that I know of. It was also stated at that time that the final 40 tickets would be on sale via IG at 6 for those who missed the pre sale.

Was there a "wave" prior to the 1:30-ish presale? Not that it matters, just curious.

Has anyone confirmed or denied the rumor that Little Log Cabin from Tired Hands is Troon?

LLC is Tired Hands owned per someone who reviewed some paperwork.
