I'm not going to lie. It fooled me. Pie in beer would not be the strangest thing ever seen when you consider things such as Carton running beer though a Randal of grasshoppers, etc.

Using descriptors on beers like "hazy" "dank" "crushable" "sessionable" "juice bombs" "cloudy"...seems to me that a lot of beers are guilty of adjective abuse in the description of their beer.

But, mostly, I'm projecting and to a lesser degree, a hypocrite for using similar words myself.

Went to Troon for the first time today. I had previously shared a couple growlers with a friend in February—Obligate Scavaneger and Sweating through your coconut bra. They were really good.

Adjective Abuse is awesome. The nose is incredible; big fruit with a touch of bitterness. It drinks smoothly and finishes citrusy and creamy just like an orange creamsicle.

Also, at Brick Farm, they have a keg of Sweating through your coconut bra that is dosed with hazelnut. Wow was that good. Apparently there is only one keg.

Such an intimate "brewery" experience there with Alex and Tom ...I will be back, that's for sure. What a beautiful property.

Took home a growler of Adjective Abuse on Saturday, it was awesome.

I enjoyed the Kolsch. Not my standard fare, but very refreshing. Good beer to start the afternoon with.

Adding hazelnut to the coconut was a nice touch too, very tasty! I look forward to future coconut bra variations.

    My weekend update:

The Kolsch is absolutely wonderful with that cereal backbone Troon beers often have.

Spine is absolutely fantastic. Super dank - similar hop flavor as the Ego series from Carton.

Vaporwave is like DDH Forever Simcoe light.

The pork empanadas and burger were excellent, and the lesser discussed fries the burger came with were superior dipped in drippy egg yolk.

On to the brewery - Aphorism is surprisingly dry and drinkable for a cherry TIPA. I got 2 fills:

Spine reaffirmed my appreciation. Adjective Abuse was very nice but slightly burn-y on the finish. Otherwise really excellent, fans of boozier IPAs would love it. Matter of fact, when I told Alex I loved the ABV on Vape and Spine I've the DIPAs he told me that the next few up were higher ABV. Lol. Can't win em all.

Popped a growler of Adjective Abuse last night. Really enjoyed it. Felt bigger than 7.5%.

I visited Troon for the first time on Saturday and hung around for a few extra minutes as they tapped Inspirational Quote. I'm not a huge devotee of the style but as far as replications of the TH/Omnipollo "Milkshake" beer go, this was really good. Comparing it to something like Evil Smoosh by Søle/Evil Twin, which I thought was horrendous, this beer was a welcome take on the style and hit the right notes in my opinion. Really cool profile with the sweetness of the lactose pairing with the chamomile.

Looking forward to the growler of Adjective Abuse that I picked up!

Adjective abuse was very good. The chamomile lactose IPA was well done. I just don't like chamomile enough for it to be something I wanted more then a few oz of.

    Another stellar trip to troon.

The popcorn menu addition at the tavern was nice too, tasty stuff.
