The Apocalyptic Visions sounds great. I was there Saturday, but passed on a growler fill as I already had too much beer at home, haha. Hopefully I'll get back there for some this coming weekend. I did enjoy the Inspirational Quote and the Adjective Abuse in the tavern. I think the AA is phenomenal.

stopped by on Sunday for a few tasters. Walked away with two growlers - Apocalyptic Visions and the chamomile (sp?)-infused IPA. Both delicious. I drank through A.V. yesterday after wrapping up yard work. Super easy drinking at 8% - and a great mouthfeel too.

And Alex couldn't be nicer. Wishing years of success for that guy.

Ok catching up on this thread. Seems like I need to get there.
    1. How is the restaurant for kids?
    2. Threes and 3 Threes being different breweries just blew my mind.

The restaurant is kind of expensive and the menu is not all that kid friendly IMO. The bar menu might be a bit better. Depends on what your kids eat.

Yes, confusing but I've had many Threes beers but no 3 Threes yet.

Never been in the restaurant proper. I've always eaten at the bar which is great, but the menu is not so kid friendly although they do have fantastic (expensive) burgers. There is an outdoor patio as well in the nice weather. There is no food served between 2 and 5. The bar really begins filling up close to 5:00 as people have a drink before dinner. I usually go around 4:00 to get a seat, have a few beers and then put in my food order at 5:00. And then run over to Alex for a growler fill before he closes at 6:00!

I like the ever rotating art on the Troon growlers too much to support that. Sorry.

The art could be on the crowler labels?

Does Troon normally get pretty crowded on a Saturday? Will this beer cause it to be?
I was planning a run over there tomorrow early in the afternoon to fill a couple of growlers
for a party tomorrow night. Time is going to be tight, if there is likely to be a line I might
have to pass this time and check them out another day.
    Thanks

So STY Sombrero was really good imo. Often with collaborations the end product tastes and feels like another beer from the host brewery. I'm sure there's many reasons for this. That said, I thought STY Sombrero definitely had a big Conclave vibe in how the coco, vanilla, coffee, cinnamon, and peppers came into play. At the same time, when I think of Alex's brews, I'm always amazed at how well hidden his abv's are. And this is no exception. Way drinkable, and not a hint of booze at 9%. I'd call this a very successful effort.
