glad to hear it.. 4pp unless they have like 800+ doesn't allow for many people especially since most will max out

Am I the only one that misses when these beers were available for growler fills and would be on for more than a weekend? Don’t get me wrong, I prefer a crowler over a growler but these rush sellouts are getting old.

I’m happy for Alex and all, but I’m just turned off since it’s now a hassle to get there exactly at 5 to get a fill.

nah i miss the growlers too (love my "scavenger day" 32 ounce i got there, pretty much my go to glass growler now). havent been back since the crowler fiasco started. no point in driving 1.5 hrs unless im going for lunch/dinner. sucks cause i love doing the referend -> troon run.

Seems like they are in a tough spot of expand quick or risk becoming something your locals abandon. Could work out for them or you could alienate the faithful and the mystique can run out and be in a tough spot. Seems like they are almost at a point where they need to figure that out.

Got there 10 minutes before they closed as I was going for dinner at Brick Farm and was pleasantly surprised to find they still had crowlers. Catharism is great!

Had Grammar Gaffe at the Tavern which was also wow! Ageless Witticism and Dragged into Autumn were good too but Grammar and Catharism are on another level!

Just cracked Grammar Gaffe. Whoa.. what a citra bomb! Drinking the entire crowler to myself is helping ease the blow of these blown game picks in my NFL pick'em league.. :joy::beers:

Man, Catharism is some smooth drinking for 9.6%. Super fruity as well. Great beer.

They tend to be inconsistent with announcements, some times it's closer to 5.

was debating about going since i had the day off..kinda glad i didn't. 45-60 minute ride each way to stand in line for 30+ minutes for 64oz of beer.

That's some dedication that i just don't have. I know he is churning out some great beer, but damn. I rather just get a 64oz growler fill locally at Twin elephant.

This beer has lactose as well. Plus 8lbs/bbl of hops vs 6lbs/bbl in the original.

    Similar but different beer.

Placebo Effect 2 is extremely smooth and easy drinking for an 8%. I don't think it's quite as good as a few of his most recent IPAs, but it's still excellent. I am hoping he puts out a stout soon as I've loved all three I've had from Troon.

As much as I like Alex’s hoppy beers I really think his stouts are where he has shine the most. Some of The better in the state

Alex recently picked up some coffee from Rojo Roasters for an upcoming release. Possibly for a stout?
