Troon Brewing

My parents are up north for the holidays and I introduced them to Brick Farm Tavern for dinner. The restaurant never disappoints! Nor does the beer! The wait staff is tremendous and the food is always flavorful and delicious. Luckily, they had 3 (maybe 4) different Troon offerings on tap, including Crust Punk Dog and two stouts (one being the 12%ish BA "session" stout). Both were g'damn delicious.

 

Bonn collab would be killer, as there recent efforts with Sole were impressive without mentioning standalone goods

 

Think there'll be a release today? Haven't been before but would love to stop by to grab a crowler for the first time.

No, terrible timing. I wok nearby and got out early (to commute in the opposite direction)... was checking Insta all day for signs of a release so that it would make sense to stick around but they didn't announce until I was on my way home. Next time!

 

Unfortunate. Was a good day to go too. Alex's stealthy 5 pm announcement made for easy parking and virtually no line.

 

Bummer. It'll be worth it the day it happens but now that cansanity has been born it is a tougher task.

 

Closed now, but there were 70ish crowlers left when I was there at 6:30. No sold out announcement, so maybe a few will make it into the tavern tomorrow for those that missed out tonight? Fingers crossed for you guys.

Was like the old days being able to park and only have a few people in line in front of you.

What was the date on today's cans? I wouldn't be surprised if we see another release Friday or Saturday. I feel like he probably had beer ready to go last weekend but didn't want people out there freezing as they waited.

Surprise Sunday release today at Troon

 

aren't they basically all "surprise" releases at this point?.... sure Sunday had a bit more shock since they did one on Friday too but they are all basically unannounced/announced releases and seem will be sans a few instances from here on out

 

Surprise as in 2 in one week and more so since it was on a Sunday

 

I guess... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ with Troon at this point nothing surprises me, just have to have notifications turned on for them through instagram

 

Troon sold 150 allotments of beer last night less than an hour after announcing. Is anyone in here...
