Troon Brewing

I got there a little after 5 pm before there was any announcements if they would/wouldn't have a release and there were about 75 people in line and no parking. I left and headed home being a local and figured I'd have it on draft this weekend. I guess people assumed by 5pm if there wasn't a no beer this weekend post on Instagram that there was beer available.

 

that's just insane that there are that many people -- "just in case" there is an announcement. I guess good for Troon?

 

This is great for Troon. I haven't been there since the days of growler fills. Being just over an hour away, I'm not going to risk missing out. I'm thinking there must be something in the works for an increase production?

 

Without any evidence to support this: I’m thinking word gets out to the locals beforehand somehow. And I’m fine with that.

 

Def people around who know before the post. Great beer when you can get it, although it's almost impossible at this point.

 

I hope so because I'm in the same boat as you as it takes me just over an hour to get there and definitely can't there by 3:30/4 on Friday in hopes they have a release. Having a job with standard hours and family, it's basically impossible to make a release so hopefully that changes in the near future.

Yeah, I drove past the barn at 5:05, before any official announcement had been made, and there had to be at least 50-75 people in line wrapped around the barn. I couldn't wait due to family obligations so kept on driving.

For now I'm going to stick with the easy to get Kane and OH when I can.

 

Eh, people lining up on known release days prior to any release being announced isn't out of the ordinary behavior nowadays. Not really an indicator or proof of inside info.

 

My post wasn't based on people standing on line.

 

i'm not aware of insider info but it seems maybe that Troon has a "helper" with releases outside of Alex/Tom... loose lips sink ships? idk... who knows.... follow the crumbs

my interpretation of "Good luck to everyone who bet their car on Sunday's game, it would be pretty inconvenient to have to walk here to pick up your cans." Trust me... i'm sure i'm wrong haha

Based on the bitching of a few people on his Instagram announcements, I'd be surprised if he did a release on Sunday after saying they wouldn't be releasing anything this weekend.

I'd be happy with a weekday release, as he's been known to do from time to time.

 

I think he means betting (and losing) on this coming Super Bowl game on Sunday - and walking to future releases.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a week day drop soon now though.

 

I’m going to the Brick Farm Tavern tonight; wish they had more Troon beers. Wish Troon made some just for the Tavern!
