Was planning on making my first visit to Troon this Saturday. Just like to confirm the hours - it looks like the brewery is open from 12 to 6 for Growler fills. Then the bar at the Tavern is open from 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM. The bar is open continuous during that time range, right? I ask because it looks like the restaurant may close at 2:00 and then reopen at 5:00. I just want to be certain if I show up at 3 or 4 o'clock that the bar will be open. Thanks.

bar will be open but you won't be able to order food from the kitchen.. so if you want food plan your trip accordingly

Haha, based on what I've seen here, that's exactly what I was thinking - the empanadas and the devon burger. Are they available after 5:00 or just during lunch hours?

Alex is a character. I thoroughly enjoy his descriptions of his beer.

Does anyone know what else is on tap at Troon today for Growler fills? Thinking about stopping by after Conclave.

I'll answer my own question in case anyone else is interested as my made the trip. And I haven't seen anyone mention it but they have the coolest 32 oz. growlers there.

Funny but I have 25-30 growlers and I had 4 empty growlers i brought with me (although I did fill 2 of them at Conclave earlier) but still had to get one. They look like maple syrup jugs.

Made my first trip this past Saturday and I was not disappointed. Stopped in first to see what Alex had cooking and then over to the Tavern. Sampled all the Troon beers plus the Spellbound Porter and something delicious from Threes. Got a big pour of the Phone Tag IPA which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was with my son and we split the Devon burger and the pork empanadas, both of which were great. A lot of atmosphere and character in the tavern too with all the wood and brick. Then back to Alex for a growler fill of the Vaporwave. Really a great visit, fantastic beer and food, friendly people and super location. I plan on making many return trips.

It can be confusing, but Threes Brewing is in NYC. What you had on draft at Brick Farm was from a NJ brewery called 3 Threes.

You're right. I thought that double use of 3 looked funny. Good beer nonetheless.
