I know that Achel Blonde Extra is now marketed as superior Blonde. My question is I found a bottle in the US from 2018. The label has "Trappist" in the upper left corner of the label and "Extra" in the upper right corner of the label. Is this Blonde Extra? I'm confused because I see other labels that have "Biere Blond extra" on the label.
Strange, because in 2018 the monks were still in Achel and the labels were still the 'old ones'. An Achel beer from 2018 cannot have a 'new label'. That would be an anachronism.
OK, since the monks left and the venue was sold, the place is still making beer by using the same recipes. The only difference is that it should not be called Trappist anymore.
