You are assuming I had them in the first place.

I thought I would revive this thread, as today is the first bottle release of this year's CVLT. Plan on heading down there to meet a trading partner and have a few brews.

MMXV-I is an oak fermented sour amber ale spiced with elderflower and orange peel.

I live in MA and am not used to bringing whatever growler I want to a brewery. We have dumb laws. Can I bring a 32oz Hill Farmstead/Treehouse style swing-top? I'm visiting Denver this weekend for the first time, super excited!

Yes. Most breweries will fill any growler. They might put a sticker on it but probably not

Do pretty much all the breweries do 32 oz fills these days?

They won't put a sticker on it because they're awesome, or they won't fill any growler because they're awesome [/sarcasm]?

Haven't had a brewery that wouldn't fill a 32oz. I've had places fill the 750ml bottles (and just discount 20%) and 40oz growlers as well.

Trinity will only fill their own 64oz growlers. I asked why, they said I dont "get" their mission statement.

"At Trinity Brewing we not only brew the most "Artisanal Beer" in town, we also make huge efforts towards eco-sensativity. We custom built our pub from nearly 100% recycled materials! A number of our beers are even produced in large wooden barrels which previously housed wines or spirits. Whether reviving ancient traditions, or coming up with completely new ideas, our beer will always be challenging for your pallet.

Reducing our carbon impact we source our raw materials as locally and as organically as possible. We believe it's important to develop personal relationships with the farmers who grow our food and an identity with our eco-region, bringing you the freshest ingredients possible and making our dishes from scratch. "Slow Food" is a phrase we use to describe our approach to dining.

Our approach for sustainability continues with how we deal with waste. We personally recycle nearly all the glass, plastic, and metal waste we produce. Our food compost and spent grain from brewing is again re-used as we donate all of it to our friends at the organic Ketchum Family Farm. And if that's not enough, we encourage our patrons to live healthy. We host the "Soul Runners" group run every Monday evening and discount beers for everyone participating!

We look forward to seeing you stop by, sharing a beer, and some conversation.

    Cheers!
    Jason Yester, President"

So instead of reusing a growler, they'd rather sell you a new one? Methinks they don't get their mission statement. And that's another reason why I don't buy their beer.

I want to add a caveat that there is ALOT of snark in my comment about their mission statement...
Also, I want a TRVE growler strictly because its metal.
