I don't know whether to post about TRVE or let them keep flying under the radar, but they deserve a bunch more credit than they get in ye olde mountain forum. Information on the release of the biggest beer they've made to date below, courtesy of Dr. Shikes:

I'll be there. You should be, too. Nick knows his way around hops, and I'm curious to know what he does with a metric shit-ton of them.

Me and the wife will be there...probably on the earlier side of the evening. I love Tunnel of Trees, so I have high hopes for Nazareth. Even if it isnt all that - their other 5-6 beers will be.

If I was still in Denver I would totally be there.

DOH. Looks like it's not in the cards for us. At least there are tons of other things going on.

On my 2nd one. Another great beer from a great brewery. Crowded but not a long wait to get served.

I'll revisit this now that I have had a chance to try Nazareth. What was the general opinion of it?
It should probably mention that I have known a certain "nuance" about it for a while since the bartender told me the main hop they used was summit.
It wasn't what I personally hoped it might be, but it wasn't the Gubna, either. It reminds me a little of what the Renegade Elevation has morphed into. You're not going to mistake it for garlic salt, but if you don't like other summit beers, this one probably won't win you over.

I thought it tasted like onions but I'm real sensitive to Summits.

Any idea if it's still heavy on summit? While it was okay it definitely wasn't my favorite...especially when Tunnel and Black Cascade are so good.

Heading down to Denver tonight for the OM show. Gonna have pregame at TRVE if time allows.

No idea, but I kinda doubt they'd change the recipe.

Haven't seen Tunnel or Black Cascade on tap in a few weeks.

Why!?! I don't understand why brewers use Summit hops. I guess I'm one of those that are just overly sensitive to onion flavors in my beer.. It's Like ordering a delicious IPA and having the bartender ask if you want a Onion Slice and thinking yes i will have that, it sounds excellent:slight_smile:

Had it last night. Wasn't impressed with it. Liked it more last year, for whatever reason. Wish I had ordered a Scorn instead.
