I think you missed my point. My beef was the way in which he was checking to see if my ID was fake, and in reference to NJ, I have been to at least 6 other relatively new brewery's this year and none have asked to see my ID. All have asked me to take the tour before having a brew and I gladly comply since that is NJ Law. I guess the other brewers are all risking their license by not carding 50 year olds.

I guess Tuckahoe is doing a damn good job if all we have to complain about is that they're checking fucking ID's. Is this a joke?

You should be flattered that they wanted to verify that you are of legal age. You must look young. Was it really that much work to walk back to your car to get your ID? Is this really THAT big a deal?

I guess I am in the minority or just took it too personally, but it still pissed me off. I was not trying to detract from the quality of the beers or the tasting room.

Does anyone know if Mountains is currently on tap and will they fill growlers of it? I am finding myself down that way later today and would love to bring some back with me.

Yes, they still have Mountains on tap, and they do fill growlers. However, the brewery is closed today (January 1st) for the holiday. They will be open tomorrow from 12-6.

I went to the new location for the first time yesterday and was surprised about haw busy it was. I was a regular at the old location and a Saturday there compared to the new place was night and day. The quality of there beer was starting to go up before they moved and with the new location now they just have more amazing beer on tap. I miss it being 5 minutes away but I'm glad to see that they are growing into something bigger and better.

Tuckahoe is releasing their next bottle- Silience next saturday, March 12th. Got to try it, and it is exceptional.

Tuckahoe making moves. I was there a few weeks back and while I missed Mountains, Quiet Fields was pretty good. Not an all time top 5 IPA but better than Spellbound's for comparison.

Damn, thought the release was today; the wild fermented burgundy ale with acidic berries, and related intricacies sounds freakin’ delish. Unfortunately, won’t be around the 12th to make that long-distance hike

Anyone have any experience with their releases? I'm considering coming down from PA for this March 12th release and not sure how early to be there. Thanks!

I would be there before doors open. It is hard to gauge what the response will be because the last release (Marigolden) was in their old facility. That once sold out in a few hours. The new location is bigger and has more of a local draw so I don't expect the bottles to last that long. Doors open at 11:00...

Any word or news if Marigolden will be bottled again?

There was basically half as much Marigolden v this release. Over 150 allocations, at opening should be good. I would think even after that if you can't make it by 11

I'm contemplating coming down for this too, but I'm not sure. Mountains and the BA stout are making me lean towards yes. However, I can't get over the fact that there seems to be some pretty massive homerism regarding the feedback of their beers. I've yet to have mountains, but I did have Quiet Fields and thought it was a fairly messy. Was definitely a step in the right direction, I'm just not quite sold on them yet. I've heard people say good things about their wine BA Belgian strong, and again, I'm just not convinced. From start to finish, that beer was just barrel, barrel, barrel. No complexion to it at all. So I dk. I want to love these guys because they're doing some fun and exciting things, I've just yet to be wowed by anything of theirs yet. I think my favorite beer of theirs was this small little Brett table beer kinda thing. Can't remember the name.
