Didn’t see a specific thread on Tucson or Arizona since 2020. So I’ll start one Tucson & area. Heading back to Tucson for a weekend of concerts in a couple of weeks. Last time there was in early 2019. So I’m sure there’s been some changes since pandemic hit. Any new breweries to check out? Last visit we hit up Pueblo Vida, Borderlands, Thunder Canyon, Public Brewhouse and a few others I don’t remember. The one brewery I’m looking for (in cans to go) would be Tombstone. Are they still big in AZ? I’m looking to bring some cans back from the Tucson area. I’m also looking to bring back some cans from the Phoenix area on our drive back to OC. Not a lot. Maybe a case total. I’m aware of Wren House nearby PHX. Been there. So looking at maybe a stop at AZ Wilderness. Not spending any time in Phoenix. Just a drive by in & out. Or maybe a bottle shop along Hwy 10? Probably spending the night in Blythe before an early morning drive back the ne t day. I’m awRe of the PHX/Scottsdale thread. Thx. edit: Let me add that we usually do some day hikes during our visit to Tucson but it being September and hot as hell we won’t be doing any on this trip. So would a road trip to Tombstone be worth it? Looks to be an hour plus drive. Beside the brewery any places to eat, see? It’s been 35+ years since we drove throw the town.
You should be able to find Tombstone cans easily at Tap and Bottle in Tucson, as well as a nice selection of other cans and a good taplist with crowlers available. Ermanos another good spot with can selection. Close off the 10 in Phoenix, Kings Beer and Wine is your best bet. A great singles selection and over 60 taps with crowler fills available.
