We will be visiting my wife's sister for a week during Christmas time. Probably just stay in the Tucson area. What are the must hit spots down south. I'm from the Tennessee so will be hitting bottle shop for any west coast goodies too that don't make it out east. Any help would be appreciated.
What part of town are you staying and what style of beer do you like? Bottles shops/tap houses: Ermano's Craft Beer and Wine Bar on 4th Avenue Tap and Bottle (two locations) Craft, A Modern Drinkery and their satellites, Serial Grillers (three locations) Tucson Hop Shop 1702 The Rumrunner The Frozen Cactus (owner is from Alpine, CA and puts Alpine on tap, maybe McIlhenny now?) Whole Foods (several locations) Sprouts (several locations) Total Wine (several locations, check can/bottle dates for IPAs) Breweries: Pueblo Vida (hazies, pastry stouts, if you're lucky WCIPAs) Dragoon (WCIPA, standard styles) Crooked Tooth (hazies) Button Ten55 Borderlands (local ingredients, like prickly pear, agave syrup) Looks like Public Brewhouse behind Ermano's permanently close due to Covid, bummer. It's been two years, so I can't speak for any new stuff.
@PerfectPorter nailed it nicely. If you are looking for a good steak hit up Daisy Mae's, great Tucson dining experience with a nice western flair! Always made it a point to dine there when staying at the Starr Pass resort. https://daisymaessteakhouse.com/ Cheers, Tom
If you're into IPA's Pueblo Vida is the spot. It's one of my favorites in Arizona. Hermano's is a cool restaurant / tap house and they are close to Pueblo Vida too.
