I'll be in Tucson in a couple weeks for Wednesday through Friday. I've never been to the area so I don't plan on straying too far from the city. Which beers do I need too try? I'll probably only have time for one our two breweries. Where should I go? Does Tucson have a must try?

That's a perfect article to link me to with the first couple of paragraphs summing up my complete lack of knowledge of the area. Very helpful. Thank you

Does the above article still best represent where to go (and not to go) in Tucson. Arriving via Amtrak on the 30th and will have time to hit 3 or 4 breweries before heading up to PHX metropolis

If you're right on time, make sure you hit Pueblo Vida, Public Brewhouse, 1912 Brewing for some gose, and Dragoon (but I'm a bit biased since I work there). 1912 is a few blocks away from our taproom. Ten Fifty Five is a bit farther out on the south side of town, but you can also go to Green Feet Brewing a few doors down from there. It's brand new and haven't been but heard good things. Lots of good beer bars too, especially Tucson Hop Shop and Tap & Bottle. You'll probably find taps or bottles from a lot of the places I mentioned if you can't make it to their taprooms. Have fun.

We'll be getting a car the next morning (AirBnB in Tucson) and be in the area for 2 days before heading up. Planning on Pueblo Vida right off the train... Dragoon is our #1 priority (so if you have some Lazarus I can try I'd appreciate it haha)

Thanks, hopefully the new batch is almost as good once it comes out of the barrel!

    So Far
    • Thunder Canyon Downtown
      • Was not great but a lot of things to try and was the only thing still open when we arrived because our train arrived late
    • Nimbus
      • Purely for lunch after going to Tombstone. Smidge better than TCD, but definitely living off it's prior laurels. Great atmosphere however.
    • Ten fifty-five
      • Favorite brewery thus far here in Tucson. Partially because a beer named Betts' Brown... Red Sox fans FTW. Additionally their beers were all good and their Oatmeal Raisin Cookie was amazing
    • Green Feet
      • Great little new brewery. Owner/Brewer has a great story and is doing some great things with his wife in the community. Only 3 Beers on tap but they were all solid offerings and I think that as the system is dialed in he will continue to do some good stuff.
    Last things are for today.

    • Public (GF request)
    • Pueblo Vida
    • 1912 (Anniversary Party)
    • Dragoon

Tucson has exceeded my expectations. Will I see you working today @afrokaze ?

@Dicers Unfortunately no, worked almost 12 hours yesterday, but I'm glad you're stopping by! Good timing too, we just put Monsooner on tap, and our Rum BA Quad is on tap too. Hope you enjoy it, cheers.
