The wife and I are headed to Tulsa in a few weeks on a mini vacation. I am looking to possibly visit a few micro breweries or brew bars. Any suggestions from my neighbors to the south?
Contact Marshall Brewing, not sure how much they can do for you. given our dumb-ass beer laws here. I'm sure they wpuld welcome guests if something is set up in advance. McNellies & Main Street Tavern are you best best beer destinations, Fassler Hall is worth a visit as well
For a nice dinner and a great selection of local beers I would recommend hitting up Smoke on Cherry Street. McNellie's in the Blue Dome has the best selection of beer in town if you're looking for a nightcap.
McNellies is a great pub. Pretty good food. Lots of brews. Brady Street Tavern is a little more up class pub. Amazing food. Great beer selection. Fassler Hall is a bierrgarten/German themed bar with awesome homemade sausages and German beers, etc. Cool environment. Main Street Tavern is great place in Broken Arrow, but since the head chef and the head manager are no longer there, I think the quality of the place has gone down a bit. Maxs is a pretty cool place. Great beer selection and tons of arcade games along with an 80s theme and atmosphere. Smoke on Cherry Street is a great restaurant featuring a good selection of local brews. There is a cigar room too. Drakes is a cool little bar right next door. Killennys is another great spot. I think they're still featuring 9 different awesome burgers and a good brew selection as well. Marshall Brewing Co is the only brewery in Tulsa. And it's a damn good one. Call and ask them your options. Our laws though kind of prohibit tours and such.
If you want to spend some money, then there is a fantastic new restaurant called Juniper. I'd advise calling for reservations. However, I'm not sure about the beer selection.
Juniper is a cool place, and too shabby of a beer selection either. Marshall, Coop, Choc, Mustang, Ommegang - just to name a few.
