I can't sustain hopping in 2pm Aslin lines on Thursdays any longer.

Anyone know of a brewery/craft beer store where I can get NE IPAs not too far outside the DC Metro area? Good lookin.

Look for the next batch of Manor Hill IPA cans. NE-inspired and some more tweaks have been made that should push it even further in that direction.

Manor Hill Sunna Rising (draft only) as well. Very hazy wheat IPA with Citra/Azacca.

That's really the only thing that comes to mind. Some Veil beers are coming into the city, but draft only. Sounds like you're looking for package.

And of course, there will be more Aslin later this year with their coming expansion.

Look at the glass half full. You at least now have a world class NE IPA brewer in the local area in Aslin. As others mentioned, Manor Hill makes some outstanding unfiltered IPAs. Not quite as hazy and turbid as Aslin but they are outstanding none-the-less. The Answer and Veil in Richmond as well. IMO, Aslin is still the best however and the lines for their beers are justified.

Thanks guys. I drove out to Beltway for Grimm growlers.

Been to Manor Hill and enjoy their stuff. Excited for their Passionfruit IPA in the fall.

When's the Aslin expansion supposed to happen?

Thought I overheard an owner say November a couple weeks ago. Take that with a grain of salt though, both because I'm not 100℅ I heard that right and because these things tend to take longer than expected.

I'd say OTWOA/Solar Abyss on draft, when I worked at a bar these were very hazy sometimes. They're not cheap, easily available, or consistently "right" so I hesitate to really recommend them. I don't try the cans anymore but if a pour or growler is available it's worth a shot.

This is probably a silly question... I'm originally from MD (haven't lived there in over a decade though) and will be visiting over Labor Day weekend. Is there anywhere in the greater DC area that gets Grimm cans? Or is it just whatever beer bars might have it on tap or for fills like at Beltway? Sterling isn't too far, but not close either.

I'm from Columbia, so I'll definitely be stopping by Manor Hill to check it out.

Grimm cans are NY only, some sours see distro, and you can get growlers occasionally at Beltway

In addition to the sours, I picked up a 22oz bottle of the Double Negative imperial stout at Stateline Liquors in MD.

Despite being brewed and packaged in Sterling, VA, VA sees none of the packaged products, just draft at Beltway. But I'm not bitter.

@moonbrews @Darwensi to be fair, being able to take away growlers full of Grimm IPA's is a pretty nice perk!

Not at the prices Beltway charges.

Tin Cannon in Gainesville is advertising a NE-style IPA, although they admit the beer isn't as turbid as some others. I had never heard of them until seeing that post on FB, but I thought I'd put it out there in case anyone is interested in giving it a shot.

How much does Beltway charge for the Grimm fills?

RAR and Veil are even further away.

The bluejacket cask Lost Weekend is really turbid, like OJ.

I can't remember the exact number but its something ridiculous, like $18 for a 32 oz.
