Anyone going to try TP at Bru City this Friday? Been wanting to try them out and never been to that bar. Worth it?

@thorburn Bru City is in Euless actually unless it's at their second location... Which I'm 90% sure isn't open yet. I'm going to have to see if I can drop in. Going to have to go to Houston this weekend but I think we're leaving on Saturday morning.

Are you going to get Haze while there? Euless is pretty close so gonna drop by Friday night. PM me if you're heading over too and we can hang out.

I had no plans on going to the Haze release. I had assumed it was sometime during the week.

I have to go to Houston to take my baby and wife to visit her grandfather who is not doing very well. I will be arriving after the Haze release starts and I have no idea if any will still be available when we're done. I'll be checking the forum to see if anyone's said anything about it then.

I work close to Bru City but I live in Arlington... I really don't want to drive home then back up here to get to the event starting at 7. I also haven't been wanting to just wait around in this part of town until the event starts and go home... But I'll be talking to the wife about it.

I'll send you a PM if I decide to show up. I may be waiting there when I get off work.

It looks like the beers Turning Point will have at this event are a white pale ale, a berry golden sour, and an oaked imperial stout.

I don't really think I'll be making the effort to make it out to this.

Eww really no NEIPAs? Yeah I'll probably pass to then. I only saw the WPA listed plus two unnamed beers.

Do they even make a NEIPA?

Supposedly that's their primary goal is to make a ton of NEIPA this year.

Well looking farther back on Turning Points Facebook page they mention when they were brewing the White IPA that is at this event. They say "the same East coast goodness with gobs of wheat to soften the body"

So it may just be a NEIPA because I've heard of wheat in those. I normally think of White IPA having similar flavor too witbier. But this may just be an orange juice beer without the orange color.

I'm going to try and go. About 5 minutes from house.

Either way I'll be there around 8. If anyone wants to say hi I'm a white dude with a skinny redhead girl.

They're pretty good, really liked the white IPA and the sour bit even the stout was easy drinking. Excited to see what else they do.
