Seems to be plenty of this available at multiple trader joe's locations (both La Jolla and Bressi had a bunch as of this AM).

 

Seemed like every place had one case with no limits.....I bet its gone by tomorrow.

 

With a lot of recent adjunct stouts having the lifespan of a mayfly lately, I think I'll stick to 1-2 bottles if i see it...

 

Beer line, they still had a few left today.

 

Found the T&G 02 and the Bastard's MB at my local TJs. $10.99 and $16.99 respectively.

But has anyone tried it yet? The coconut one that is...

 

Yeah, it's good, not great.

Bourbon dominates, dark chocolate and mild roasted coffee throughout. The coconut is very subtle. For the price, it's worth trying. I bought 2 for myself and 1 for a trading partner.

Agree with this assessment. Nothing special. Believe me, I'm rooting for an $11 bba coconut stout.

 

Saw quite a few of the TG 02 at the Huntington Beach TJ today.

 

I wasn't a fan of batch 1 but this Coconut one is pretty amazing. If I see more I'm going to buy it. It was like bourbon county with coconut!

 

For $11 is fucking tasty.
It's a little boozy but the coconut was pretty upfront and overshadowed the booziness.
Sure it's not as tasty as the monsters park ba coconut versions but those are also $30 too.

People will hate on St archer cause of selling out. It's priced right and it's cheaper than buying regular bcbs last year. That's a win in my book, cause I mostly press bcbs with coconut anyway.
If this was brewed somewhere else the trade boards would light up with people looking to acquire them.
More for me I guess.

I had their Tusk & Grain No. 1. Nothing special imo

 

Checked on the Encinitas TJ's this morning and sold out. Then after lunch was near the Oceanside store and had about 8 so I grabbed two. Looking forward to give one a try tonight because for 10.99 why not.

 

Yorba Linda tj didn't have any on the shelf, I'm not sure if tj is a place to hold beers in the back?

A week or 2 ago the gentleman at wf brea told me he was getting this, I stopped by today but didn't see any, couldn't find the beer guy to ask

 

Spot on!! Had my first one tonight and for the price it's great! Coconut is subtle but present.

For sure much better than my experience with batch 01. Have one chilling now for comparison.
