So these guys have been distributing in NJ for 3 weeks now. IMO, this was one of the biggest and best things to happen for beer in NJ for quite some time now. And, well, 3 weeks later, they don't seem to be anywhere. I gave a quick look at some of the better beer bars in North Jersey - Mohawk, The Shep, Dog & Cask, The Leaf - and I found a total of 1 can on Beermenus. Poor Henry's, my favorite local spot, has had tons. I also talked to the beer manager within the last week at one of the aforementioned bars, and he seemed to have no clue that it was available. Thought it was a Whole Foods exclusive or something.

I guess I'm just curious what the hell is going on with this. 3 weeks in and 1 bar in north jersey has their stuff? Have other people consistently found anything?

Seems like it's a slow process elsewhere.

12% means nothing to me until I can get some Westbrook Gose in my hands without going to NYC, which has not yet been the case for me. We shall see.

Shop Rite in Little Falls has a small end cap with a decent amount of stuff... Maybe 12+ different beers.

I am not familiar with any 12 percent Brands other than Evil Twin. Are any others worth seeking out?

Haven't seen anything besides what you mentioned at Poor Henry's. I'll check back in once I find something elsewhere. Keeping my fingers crossed for some bottles of Tilquin Gueuze.

This is from a previous job, but the wholesaler I worked with would send us a (for example) list of items for the "November 12% PO" about the week after the October order showed up. It would have lets say 50 package beers+50 kegs, with an allocation for the state (so you'd know if it was a one case per good account item, or tons available) an then you'd send them a wishlist of what we wanted. Then say, first week of November, the wholesaler gave us a list of what we could order with the prices and UPCs, and a week later we could order it. It was held for us for maybe 10 days. Then we'd get the Dec PO list soon after....

Anything people backed out of actually ordering, that was already at the wholesaler, became free game to order just like anything else at the wholesalers warehouse. So I'd say give it 2 months to get things rolling, you're probably essentially getting the "leftovers" right now, nothing old or bad, but stuff someone backed out of. 12% seemed to want a home for the beer they shipped, not just sending tons of everything to their wholesalers. Also consider that when you see a shop getting the "hard to get" 12% stuff, they have their shelves stocked with every stillwater, tons of Hof Ten, etc etc.
