Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2017

I picked up a Mosaic Dry Hop Sue at Top 10 Andover last week but haven't seen DDH or King lately.

 

To those looking for DDH Sue, it's not in the burbs, but Casanova in Hudson had several cases of both DDH and SuMo as well as Thresher, Lightspeed and even some Zeelander (I'm assuming an older bottling) as of yesterday at 10:30 AM. Haven't seen any around closer to the TC though.

 

Yeah I picked up a mosaic a few weeks ago, but no luck on the DDH... Saw a REALLY old KS in Excelsior at a small shop a few weeks ago, but passed due to the age

 

It did during Christmas in the metro. I was able to land 3

 

Eastlake Dank Aaron, Pe-Kan, Paradise, Bells Mars, and Bank Default, and Indeed Cherry Dust at Shorewood Liquor.

 

Anyone know if Born (Again) Yesterday will hit the TC?

 

The Zeelander IS from the December batch and DO AVOID! I was totally unaware and picked up a couple bottles this weekend. I love Zeelander and think Toppling Goliath hops hold up more than any other, but, the Zeelander is at drain pour status right now. Going to address this at the store when I visit there in a couple days.

 

For those like myself conducting a long-running love affair with Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Barleywine, it should be everywhere by this week. It's all over Chanhassen & France 44 is supposed to get their shipment today. A few places received it last week.

And if you're desperate, there are a handful of KBS bombers at Liquor Boy for the low, Surdykesque price of $29.99. That place.

 

Hey, that's only double the price of the 12oz bottles that were sitting right below it!

As of Friday, they also had Cherry Dust, Pe-kan, Paradise, and Mars.

 

Has tidal disruption arrived in the Twin Cities yet?

 

Casanova in Hudson has it. You'd think it would be around here too, but I haven't seen much if anything about it in the metro.

 

Talking with the guys at Ale Jail, it apparently is still sitting at the distributor. Probably has been for a couple weeks now.

Zipps also has a rack full of it. Just opened one .. Batch is fantastic.

 

From the sounds of it, Blissful and Hooey are going to be brewed regularly and looks like it will be regularly on shelves. I can say that I am not mad about that.

 

Scott's in Saint Paul had (Gueuze Tilquin)^2, but it sold out right away. Does anywhere else have any or plan to get any?

 

Blissful has nothing on Hooey or Straight Hash Homie. Barrel God is on par with BCBS and I LOVE Bourbon County. Always been nice that Lupulin is 4 miles from my house but we've been visiting them more and more lately as they get better and better.

 

Shorewood Liquor is stocked with that Blissful juice! Still the best packaged 2XIPA in MN by a large margin.

 

Agreed -- large large margin.

 

This latest batch of Blussful Ignorance looks hazier than past batches. Not that I care much, but I know some people NEED the haze.

Overall, sofa king good!
