Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2017

Anyone seen Bouron Paradise around anywhere else? Drank one last night and have to find some more.

 

Believe I saw a photo of several cases on the floor at TW Burnsville.

I've also seen it firsthand at Heritage and Cellars Roseville.

 

Whoops, maybe I was looking at the wrong Prairie beer then. There was definitely 1.5 cases open of Bourbon Paradise against that back wall. Directly behind those, there was another 5-6 cases that I assumed were more Bourbon Paradise. My bad on the mixup.

 

They posted on Twitter that they canned more Decorah Sue yesterday, so hopefully we see some of that fresh batch if anything.

 

If they were next to the other Prairie beers next to the singles selections then it was likely Christmas Bomb or another one. I double-checked and even asked the staff and they looked in three different spots for it with no luck.

 

South lyndale had a small shopping cart with singles of bourbon paradise and a few other random beers I can't remember when I was there at 5 PM. There wasn't much, so it was probably gone by 6. The big surprise was that they still had 5 or so cans of BA 1050, despite having tweeted about it around noon. The only reason it lasted that long is because it was hidden in the small singles cooler closest to the wine. I had to ask Guy after circling the beer area twice. I'm sure it's long gone.

 

Decorah Sue was canned yesterday and King Sue on Monday. Hope we get the IW Sue next week.

 

Very interested to see what King Sue will be priced at.

 

Had a '16 BA Ten-Fidy last night. Wow was it great. Not sure if a year's age made the difference on this or not it was superb.

 

Are these being packaged in a box like surly then?

 

Yep, picked some up last night, it's very good.

 

I had it fresh last year and about 7-8 months later and it was so much better after waiting a little bit. It was pretty hot at first but mellowed nicely.

 

Lots of 4-packs at Lunds/Byerly's in Woodbury.

 

Was in the neighborhood so I stopped at Chicones in Hudson this morning. Nothing crazy but they did have all 2016 varieties of the Goose Island sisters (Lolita, Halia, Gillian, and Juliet) for sale for $6.99 each. Not a normal purchase for me but I was happy to pick up a couple for that price.

 

Bombers for 6.99?!

 

FYI, BA Silhouette is still available for those that forgot about the release.

 

Plenty of Triple barrel at SLL $17.99, baptista $15.99 as well.

No live music kept me out of buying tickets this year. Bought 4 bottles last year and had fun mainly due to Charlie parr.
