Twin Cities Bottle Hunt

Is it newly bottled or bottles that didn't sell because it wasn't as good as the first batch?

 

There have been a few references to it being a new batch, but I guess I don't know for sure.

 

I was told it was a new batch from a very reliable source

Founders Breakfast Stout in St Paul or Mpls yet? It's not listed on their beer locator for some reason. .

 

I picked up a 4 pack on Sept. 9 at Rapids in **** Rapids. That store usually gets everything within a couple days of the rest of the metro, so I'd imagine it's all over MSP.

 

Any recent Todd sightings with an August canning date? I'm in the SW metro but leads anywhere in the metro would be appreciated...

 

Picked up some at Seven-Eighths Liquors in Bloomington about a week ago, the rail was still full, give them a try.

 

What sort of selection does that shop have? I drive by there from time to time and hit up the Home Depot near it, but have never been.

 

Having just drank one of the 7/29 and two of the August cannings (maybe 8/5?), I actually thought the 7/29 was noticeably better. I had bought the August to get the freshest I could for a RTP, but now I wish I could have just kept the last of the 7/29s I had for him instead. YMMV, of course.

 

12.99 grapefruit sculpin, 5.99 bent brewstillery berried gose, and 10.99 lake front brandy battle aged imperial pumpkin at total wine richfield and I'm poor now

 

Lousy (for a beer geek) They have Surly & several other standards, but nothing to go out of your way for. And considering how long they've had Todd, I wouldn't trust the freshness of their IPAs.

They still have plenty of 8/4 Todd. I had never been in there. You're right not much craft selection and a pretty small store in general.

 

So I took one for the team and for science and bought a Sticker Fight from Stinson's today. I am not sure if it is a newest batch, but it tastes like the batch from a few weeks ago and not the juicy one from last year.

If it is from the newest batch, I am bummed.

Noted, thanks. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a hidden gem of a store (for a beer geek).

 

There are few certainties in this world but I know for that "the first batch is better" is one of them.
