Twin Cities Bottle Hunt

I've seen Le Terroir on shelves around town, which was on the first page of the list. Also have seen some of the Cisco Brewers "woods" beers readily available.

 

Jolly Pumpkin beers shouldn't be too hard to find either. Their whole lineup is widely distributed.

 

I saw that Le Terroir on the list, do you remember where you saw it? I'll have to keep an eye out for Jolly Pumpkin too.

 

Last year I believe it was out in Feb, the year before that in Jan... but that said with the new brewery I think it's safe to assume schedules are probably a little questionable. They do have pentagram on tap currently at the brewery, I am not 100% sure if it's a new batch or not. As for Sours (wild ales) that I would recommend that I have seen recently: Love Child #4, La Folie, Odell Friek are three that come to mind that. At Casanova in hudson they have Jolly Pumpkin (La Roja is my fav) and Bruery sours (ie Oude Tart) that are really great.

Do you have a line on where you spotted Love Child #4? That beer is awesome if you can find it, but I thought it was long gone.

I don't remember specifically where I saw Le Terroir recently, just that it has been around. Could have been France 44

 

I bought some bottles of LC #4 not more than two weeks ago at Cheers in Chanhassen.

They also have year old Clown Shoes stout on the shelves - Vampire Slayer with the original labels.

 

Thomas in St. Paul has a few bottles of Love Child #4 left, $16.99 I believe. Possibly Let Terroir also, but not sure on that one.

 

I have seen LC#4 around at plent places in the northwest metro, mostly $18 to $20... to rich for me to try on a whim of a style I am hit or miss on.

 

Try north loop wine and spirits. Was there right before new years!

Has anyone seen the 2013 Bourbon Old stock cellar reserve yet?

 

I have not seen it but, at the risk of underestimating the madness once again, the 2011 Brandy release was around for months. The small bottle, 'unfamiliar brewery', & hefty price tag make this a beer that moves (or let me say moved) slowly.

 

Taps start today, bottles tomorrow at noon

 

Last year Liquor Barrel on excelsior got bottles of Size 11, they seem to get the special releases from steal toe pretty regularly, I think because they are so close to the brewery.
