I am going to be driving to Minneapolis for GetKnit's Rails and Ales brewery crawl in a couple of weeks. I have done this a couple of times in the past, but there are so many new (and improving) breweries in the Twin Cities. Just wondering if any of you have any input on what spots I shouldn't miss, or what your game plan would be if you were attending this event. Participating breweries are: 12welve Eyes Brewing Barrel Theory Beer Company Tin Whiskers Brewing Co. I'd prioritize Surly, Bang, 12welve Eyes, Town Hall, Fulton, Finnegans, and BlackStack, in roughly that order. Also, Barrel Theory has a vocal following. One caveat: Burning Brothers exclusively brews gluten-free, sorghum-based beers that are unlikely to appeal to people who are used to barley/wheat/rye/etc.
If your asking shoul'nt miss and have not been its Surly. I like Barrel Theory,MTHB, Day Block and BlackStack.
