I've never been to Troon and just visited their web site for the 1st time. Very different operating plan than Twin Elephant to say the least.

Not necessarily a bad thing IMO either. I enjoy the no-hassle for cans now. I think they'd mentioned they didn't get the yield they thought they would off the new tanks. Will be interesting to see what happens when they start getting that larger package yield.

I suspect they'd move to a Sat release to try to sell thru cans in the same weekend... that, along with upping allotments will prob double the pace of sales...

Doubt they will move to Sat. because of parking. All they would have to do is increase the allotments. I was told that lots of buyers would buy a case if they could. I guess that means their beer is considered trade bait by some drinkers.

Is this the first drop they’ve done 2 packs per person?

As noted, yep. But the last batch is shimmy didn’t sell out right away, and this is 50% more cans (61 vs 40 cases) so I can see why they’d do that. Still wondering is if this is max can yield from the new fermenters?

Has anyone tried Poison the Well yet? I had a pour yesterday while waiting for the can sale to begin and it is extraordinary! It's one of the best Milk Porters I've had - it stands toe to toe with Kane's Evening Bell. In fact, I think it's better. Lots of milk chocolate, coffee, coconut, and even a hint of dark fruit. The mouth feel is amazingly thick and creamy. It drinks like a Stout. I feel like going back today for another pour.

Had a pour last week. Super sweet and heavy. Agree with all your tasting notes!

Hey guys sorry it has been awhile since we have reached out the summer event schedule jumped right on top of us. Man is it hot out there but that is what drinking cold suds during the summer nights so enjoyable. We got the outdoor beer garden rocking with a couple new umbrellas for the spool seating areas to help with some shade and hopefully in the very near future will have some split AC units up in running for inside the taproom. This weekend we have 3 fresh drops one of which is a new beer for us. To start today we have fresh batches of "True Believers" and the new beer "Galloping Hill". "True Believers" is a 7.3% ABV American IPA that is eminently drinkable, clean malt guts, baptized by a belly to belly to belly suplex of Citra, Mosaic & Cascade. Notes of orangina, ripe honeydew melon (halved, seeds removed), sparkling grapefruit and cantaloupe syrup. "Galloping Hill" is a 6.6% ABV hoppy Belgian Blonde that got a pleasant 3 lb / bbl mauling of Lemondrop, Saaz, Loral & Sabro. Ever and anon roaming over Belgian pilsner malt, crystal oats and wheat. Dry, refreshing and unfiltered. Herbal, floral and subtly fruity. Notes of lemon, light dough, plum, slight melon, white grape, pear. Finally, on Saturday we will be tapping a fresh batch our Coffee Milk Stout "Diamonds & Pearls". The swag and panache of floor malted Maris Otter, chocolate, and roasted barley malts. Oats and lactose add a little soul and the joie de vivre…a blend of Homestead Coffee Roasters (Upper Black Eddy, PA) artisan beans. This round a mix of Columbian and Guatemalan Bourbon, 3/4 of which was soaked in Bucks County’s own Hewn Spirit Bourbon barrels at Homestead for 30 days prior to roasting and then conditioning in harmonious milk stout. Robust flavors of baker's chocolate, toasted almond, caramelized bourbon, coffee, milk chocolate and honey.

We got a really cool event coming up that Cindy is going to be repping hard at called "Beer Without Beards"Hopculture & Yakima Chief Hops. Roll through to crush some great beers with us and say hi.

Stopped in and grabbed a growler of Dr. Octagon this weekend... thought it was excellent... super tropical and creamy. Sabro really added a nice flavor. Should be a canning candidate for sure IMO.
