I'll need to pop over to try that and the porter. Sounds like they've dialed in Shimmy though.

stopped in this afternoon and did a flight. Really dug the tweaked Shimmy Ye'. Might be the dankest beer I've ever had. Perhaps uber freshness played into the aroma, but the nose was straight MJ... chewy mouthfeel, hoppy, really nice. Nosh: Sabro was interesting, definitely got a super tropical coconut flavor on it from that hop. True Believer was dangerously crushable for 7.2%, and I grabbed a growler of this one. It was also quite different from earlier iterations, but also in a good way.

La di Da di was also good, better than expected (i.e. wasn't sure i'd like it, as I'm not a pastry stout guy, and peanut butter had me apprehensive, but I thought it was well done. Bitter coffee, peanut butter, roasty malt and touch of lactose all in pretty good balance. Wouldn't do pint personally, but that's more my preferences...

Went in yesterday. The tap room was not nearly as busy as last time, was great to get a seat right away. Backdoor was open with a great breeze and not a ton of kids running around.
Lil Shimmy Ye may have been my favorite, was really well done.
Nosh I enjoyed, and as above i got a ton of coconut and tropical as well, could see that being a great summer beer. I was pleasently suprised that Mr. Pinkerton was as good as it was, while I did like La Di da Di; the peanut butter was very forward which I liked but it was too sweet for me, taster max.

Overall again Twin elephant did not disappoint.

Ok party people no excuse this weekend....Sunday is National Beer Day and to quote FDR, "I think this would be a good time for a beer." Got four freshies coming down the pipe this weekend starting Thursday with a new 6.3% ABV Spring Pale Ale called "This Guy Gets It". We squanched this red wheat heavy Pale Ale to the gills with Amarillo and Sorachi Ace hops, finished with lemon peel and dubbed it a Spring Pale Ale. The taste…is unique ?. The dill on the nose is courtesy of Sorachi Ace, and further adds to the complexity that ensues in the unraveling of threads of lemon character; bright, tart and acidic. Notes of moderately loud herbal fresh dill and accords across the lemon spectrum; juice, zest, peel, and curd. Also, most likely on Thursday after "Lil' Shimmy Ye'" kicks we will have the long awaited return of our APA "Lil' Monsters". This beer comes in at a quaffable 4.9% and is accompanied generously with Azacca, Rakau, Galaxy & Enigma. On Friday, after "True Believers" finishes up, we have a new beer called "Bee Leash" coming to tap. This beer is a 5.9% ABV Saison de Miel conditioned with local wildflower honey. Finally, also on Friday but after "Shimmy Ye'" kicks, we have a new American IPA birthing called "Pick Apart The Pixels". This batch comes in at 7.2% ABV and was double dry-hopped with Citra, Chinook, CTZ & Southern Cross. Look for full descriptions of those last two beers on our website and Untappd tomorrow after we get good sensory on them post carbonation.

Quick progress update on our upcoming outdoor beer garden. We will do construction to add an entrance way to the outside starting next week. There will be a brief, most likely one weekend, time where we will have temporary plywood covering up the hole. We appreciate your patience during this time and will keep you posted on progress & timing.

Nice lineup for the weekend. I recall enjoying little monsters for the low ABV last time.

Psyched to see Old Raritan coming up in the future. Loved that one last time. Good to see a lager making its way as well!

TE is really hitting this week. I had both Engage Physically and the La Di Da Di variant yesterday and they were outstanding! Engage is super flavorful and the mouth feel is amazing. This version of La Di Da Di drinks like a stout; really chewy and with a higher ABV than the original. Every week I'm more impressed!

I don’t go that often but when I do I’m always happy with what I try. Besides Kane, it’s really the only place I get flights from every time I visit.

Had Enage Physically last weekend and agree with you. Good stuff, but it was a bit sweet. Bee Leash was pretty good as well, but had a touch of honey-like sweetness in there as well.

Also tried the engage physically. Good, but I agree just a bit too sweet.

I really liked the This Guy Gets It, but its definitely unique with the strong herbal notes and bitter lemon peel. I could see this being a bit love it or hate it type beer.

Have a growler of Lil Monsters I haven't gotten around to yet...

Happy Friday folks hope everyone is feeling the spring energy and had a great week. To help full those good vibes we two batches of fresh hops coming at ya on Saturday this weekend. We have the return of fan fav American IPA "Gathering Clouds". Little spelt helps lift the 7.3% ABV sweet malt tones into a heady mix teeming with notes of lemon peel, pine needles, caramelized pineapple, clean spice bitterness. Beautiful cluster of sweet, grass, resin and fruit. We also have a new 7.2% ABV American IPA dropping called "Nurturing Dependence" that was double dry-hopped with Ekuanot, Simcoe, Sabro, Cascade & Citra and look out for a full description to come in the tap room & online.

Also, couple of events of note happening this weekend. On Saturday at 11am Lost Tavern Brewing in Hellertown PA is releasing part 1 of our collaboration project which is entitled "The Sting". We set out to create two local honey inspired IPAs with 2 of the three hops in the bill being Citra & Huell Melon but the third being dealer's choice. For part 2, we are still waiting on label approval from the TTB but are scheduled to can up beginning of next week so stay tuned for the release date message. SO head over there in there morning if you are feeling up to a short ride and then come check us out at the Bridgewater Beer Fest at night 7pm-10pm. Lots of NJ friends pouring good beer and we will be pouring Gathering Clouds, Nurturing Dependence & Worker Drone.

Finally, Quick progress update on our upcoming outdoor beer garden. So we have cut a big 8'x10' hole in our taproom wall and installed a double swing door glass storefront entrance with a transom and sidelight. As we continue to work on cleaning up the outside and laying down pavers this will entrance will be blocked by a benched seating area. After we get through the landscape cleanup, pavers and fencing, we will give you another update. As always we appreciate your patience during the construction.

Happy to see they’re continuing with the DENNIS system here. Also curious to see what kind of Lager they’re putting out.

Also didn’t realize thy were putting an outside area in, that’s awesome!

yeah they got approval on the outdoor space from the town a long time ago, but apparently also required a license modification or something as well... should be nice when it opens up. kind of a long but narrow space so curious to see how they set it up. Hope its all set up before the anniversary.

Also - Cans coming... so that's nice..

so cans this weekend, or no? I wouldn't think they would be open on Easter Sunday to do a release...plus seems they were pretty busy installing the new tanks yesterday, so may not have been able to can it yet....guess we will find out soon enough.
