I been pretty crazy with work recently, but very glad to see that, per FB, TE is beginning to dabble in home delivery! Awesome. I think I saw it was Middlesex county??

Correct - trial run starting in Middlesex. cool that people can get delivery - but I take it as a red flag that taproom sales and curbside orders are down, but I think that's an industry problem not a TEB specific one...

on the plus side, glad to see The Swarm on deck for canning along with Nosh citra mosaic. Hope to try the new Kellerbier on tap as well.

They could increase taproom sales if they would go back to refilling growlers. The rules might be different in Chatham but Untied, Bull n Bear and Trap Rock are all refilling growlers.

Yeah but that's not the safest way to do things. They may have evaluated and determined that they can afford to be as safe and protective of their employees as they can. Plus if an employee gets covid, really in a small place you could end up down really for nearly two weeks if you test and quarantine like you should.
Moreover, I have zero idea what employees' families (and employees') health problems are. Maybe someone there has a husband or wife or live in parent with a solid organ transplant, or Crohn's disease, or MS and so on....

Interesting, I had not thought of it that way..probably because I'm used to so many breweries around here doing delivery (though, I suppose TE is smaller than them). Hope all is well for them, though I would not be surprised if taproom sales were down given the current Covid numbers. I shall do my part to try and increase curbside :grinning:

Hell yea to Nosh. And I'll definitely want that Kellerbier in a growler

Home delivery has now expanded to Essex, Monmouth, and Somerset counties as well. Being I'm in Somerset, I'm stoked.

had the "West Coast" IPA called Quested yesterday. Totally not West Coast by any traditional sense, but more an NEIPA with some subtle west coast attributes, but I really liked it. Bit more resinous aroma and taste, less heavy mouthfeel, more bitterness and a little higher carb, and nice and hoppy. Hopefully they experiment more down this path.

I've been following this brewery on social and what gets posted here. Can anyone speak to their other styles outside IPAs? For example, how are the two porters (Poison the Well and Rugged Snuggle)?

Twin Elephant may brew a style you don’t care for but it will be well brewed. I’ve been going there since day one and have never had a beer that was flawed in anyway.

    Thanks for the response @dennisthreeninefiveone

You answered my question. In short, I would like to give this brewery a try but I am not much of an IPA drinker.

I’ve enjoyed Rugged Snuggle and the saisons they’ve put out. Don’t recall many stouts. They’re kind of another IPA factory but the non-IPAs are all done well IMO.

Nice. This is good information! I am afraid saisons and farmhouse ales arent really in my wheelhouse. Was thinking of posting a trade rrom (2 or 3 crowlers) the to-go options currently listed on the website.

Most of what I’ve had are IPA, but their Italian Pilsner and their Porter, Bakers at Dawn were both excellent.

Not sure if you want to add this to the above but when I asked Twin Elephant if they allowed proxy pickups, the following was their response:

Do you allow proxy pick-ups for orders?

Yep as long as you let us know and the person picking up has valid ID.

My wife usually picks up my orders since she works right near there. I’ve never let them know and it hasn’t been an issue.
