I have been lurking these threads for the past few days now as a noob trying to get started. I see no mention anywhere of Two Brothers Brewing out of Warrenville IL. I am not sure if this is due to them being small or not as good as I think they are. Their Heavy Handed and Resistance are solid IPAs and their "Pillar of Salt" is a fantastic new limited brew. Thoughts anyone?
I don't have any experience with the IPA's that you've mentioned, but I did get a chance to try Hop Juice recently. Really nice DIPA!
Hop Juice is amazing. I forgot about that one Really hard to get, even around here. Mostly just on tap I think.
Try binnys for the Hop Juice bombers, I have seen it stocked at several locations. I also had it on tap at Tribes Alehouse in Mokena so im sure you can find it elsewhere
Got a bottle of Hop Juice in a trade along with a growler of Cane & Ebel. Wasn't overly impressed with HJ (though it was good), but did really love C & E. Also have a bottle of their Red Eye Porter I'm sitting on that came in that same trade.
C&E isn't my fave but I think it's pretty good. The Hop Juice Black is amazing but again, I've only seen it on tap at the brewpub. They just came out with a BA Heavy Handed but I haven't tried it and I'm sure they are gone... They typically don't do any BA stuff so hopefully they are coming around on this. This is one place I can stop by at any time and get some so if you see anything on the horizon that you guys want, just let me know.
BTW... Binnys just got Parabola in on Saturday. I called and asked to hold one and they said the palate in the truck fell over and busted the entire box up... No luck there. I'm kind of mad at binny's right now
I've had Resistance on my Wants list forever, hoping someone will send me some out of the goodness of their heart. Still waiting!
