I think the NB kit has too much crystal and not enough dry hop. Kick up the dry hopping to .5-1 oz per gallon and your a hell of a lot closer.

 

I just cut the total amount of crystal in half.

Actually, the last batch I did was the best- 10 gallons, replaced the crystal with caramunich I, ran it through a hoprocket packed with centennial before the chiller, dry hopped one half with 6 oz centennial and served off a nitro tap, the other half keg hopped with 6 oz of centennial, let sit for a few days, carved and drank within a week. It was a very hoppy week.

 

Free ingredients, borrowed equipment. A lucky scenario.

 

I made the NB extract Dead Ringer kit but I dry hopped three extra ounces of Centennial over two weeks. I've never had Two Hearted but I think mine is pretty good.
My third batch so I'm still learning. I didn't think pellet hops needed to be put in a mesh bag. Wrong.
