I set up two trades with two different new members who had zero trade history. We both agreed to the deals, I sent them a trade request, and now they've gone MIA. When we were working out a deal last Thursday (Dec 11), I was very clear that I was leaving this Saturday (Dec 20) for the holidays so needed them to ship Monday or Tuesday. Since they didn't have any trade history I asked they they both ship first and I would ship as soon as I got their boxes. The trades weren't for anything crazy: - one was for Zombie Dust x 12 for some BCBS and BCBBW. - the second was for 4 x Luscious & 2 x Focal for some BCBS, BCBCS, & BCBBW. We sent address info both ways and agreed that they would ship out on Monday of this week (Dec 15). I've yet to hear anything from either about tracking or that the trade is off. I've sent both of them a message or two asking what the deal was, but haven't gotten any responses yet. I'm not too worried about the trade and am happy to cancel them, but I'm trying to figure how to do that since we have trade requests accepted. Any advice? Thanks guys.
Not a good situation, but too early to get really worried. Though it is unsettling they haven't responded to subsequent messages. You can always cancel the trade request and tell them why. I would think that is perfectly acceptable given you set time parameters for WHEN you needed the boxes in house and they agreed.
Oh hey there HookemHoos. I don't think you can cancel once the request has been accepted, but I believe I have read that if you wait 90 days with out either person submitting feedback the trade goes away. Not that that helps you get your ZD for you in-law or Luscious to share with me. Not sure any quicker option besides trading.
Ahh, well thank you @SportsandJorts . I appreciate your input. It was most helpful. I guess I can always wait. 90 days is a long time to dream about the Zombie Dust that could have been though..
Well if you really want to get ZD, I am sure some combination of the beers in your cellar could help you pull one or two more.
