Website says this is available at the tasting room for $15 bombers. Can't find anything on it. Anybody know more on this one?

All the info I got was, 9.3% ABV, it's a an Imp Stout, and it's a collaboration between Nantahala Brewing Company and Cigar City.

I also heard it's not a coffee stout.

I'll pass on that one. Two Regular Joes stout came out today. Heading over there later to get some. Let me know if you're interested.

It went into the cooler late afternoon/early evening last night. CCB still hasn't announced the release yet...which is pretty standard for how they handle these smaller release. Silent release for a couple hours and then an announcement later in the day/the next morning on social media. I suspect they'll post something official pretty soon.

I'm actually surprised that they didn't wait for Cow Boss to sell out before putting this out

Limit 4 per person. Trying to get an answer on how many bottles were made and what's in the works for Distro. Details soon...

Actually...it is a 6 bottle limit. I've heard "no distro" (not confirmed)

"Tasting Notes" from a CCB employee: Imperial stout, 9.3, slight tropical fruit/orange, 3 types of chocolate malt. No coffee

Official Announcement from the CCB FB page:

Our collaboration with Nantahala Brewing Company is now available in the tasting room. This beer was born out of the friendship that was forged when Cigar City Brewing’s Joe Redner and Nantahala Brewing Company’s Joe Rowland hit it off during Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp Across America tour last summer.
We used an experimental hop which lends to a tropical fruit/orange flavor and aroma as well as three different types of chocolate malt. The result is a big ol' imperial stout called Two Regular Joes.

9.3%ABV, $15/bottle, 6 bottle limit. Available in the tasting room only.

It's not on tap so couldn't try it. Bought 3. It's going to be sold out before 3 pm most likely. I got my 3 while they were putting the last 6 cases of it in the fridge.

Just to add some people are disputing whether it will sell out that fast. CCB officially said they thought it will last until 5.

Wow, they sure learned from the last time they apologized for setting high bottle limits on the release of an imperial stout that sold out in less than a day.

Odd that the limit was higher than guava grove. I think most people think it was a coffee stout when it's not.

It's not a stretch to think its a coffee stout. When I see the word "joe" it can imply coffee. Especially on a beer.

Yeah that was my first thought and I was very disappointed to be missing it. When I read "tropical fruit/orange", I was much less disappointed.

Connection at CCB said 30bbl of it made. They kept 3 pallets worth (not sure how many stack up on a pallet) and the rest is going to Nantahala. If someone who's into brewing can help with the math here, that'd be great.

    Nantahala brewed it as well.

Both locations will have each others versions for sale and on tap. It'll be on tap from what I was told at Nantahala.
