Two roads "Lambic" series

    It's a fucking awful German style pilsner. It's far too hopped up to be a good example of that style. It is however a very good example of what I usually just call a Modern American Pilsner. There are pilsners that are very hoppy where the lager characteristics still shine through. For me, Citra Mantra, Pivo Pils, Fresh Cut, and O'l factory are top notch. If I want a german pils, these are the last beers I would look for.

    while i want to agree with this - i also have to point out Bull Frog Brewery .... from what I hear their regular offerings are nothing special but the Grrrz series (and other sours) they do are damn straight....meaning you dont need to master an IPA to brew a solid sour.

    i mean, if all the main brewers from goose island formed a brewery, released a few mediocre IPAs and pilsners, then announced a barrel aged imperial stout, i would be pretty damn interested in that barrel aged imperial stout. no?

    p.s. re: lawson's comments above, is the story supposed to be that lawson didn't talk to them about what he was doing?
