Hey bro,it is gonna be a hit or miss? I think there more hype than previous. For what it's worth.i have had some times in line@2 roads.great shares.i will be going with @smutty33 Around 10:00ish Cheers!
I'll be going too but am coming up from NYC and am going to miss the 10am doors. Save some for me please !
The last "nor-yeaster" event I rolled in at about 12:45 and walked right up for bottles... I think the Igor releases are the crazy ones... I have a feeling if you stroll in around then you won't have any problem.
Officially dead to me that place. Their blog post entitled "everything you need to know about today's release". Really ? Would be nice if you posted you stopped selling them at 2pm and saved me a trip.
I think it may have to do with how busy they get on Saturday for pints, or maybe a crazy state law. I wonder what they do with the leftover bottles, I don't think I've ever heard of them randomly sticking limited release stuff in the coolers.
It says sold out Instagram but they apparently had plenty of bottles left when they stopped selling at 3. I can't believe this didn't sell out immediately considering how the last black raspberry lambic this brewer made turned out.
That's what the staff told me when I got there. Regardless it was not posted anywhere aside from Instagram. And don't title your blog post everything you need to know and not include the cut off time. Or update Twitter, Facebook or answer your phone.
I asked someone who worked there what they would do with the left over bottles. They said they usually save them for special occasions/special events at the brewery.
They released 88 bottles of Kriek and 2014 Igor's earlier this year in celebration of some holiday that I can't remember right now..
Have any of you guys been able to trade for it? It looks like half the people on untapped that tried it don't like sours.
Lol if any of you need to trade for it, myself and plenty of friends got 4 or more bottles. I can easily hook you up with a great trader who'd be happy to work something out. As for the extra bottles, I know they save some for events like Sour'd in September at Captain Lawrence or Extreme Beer Fest. They easily opened 100+ bottles of Kriek at EBF for the 3 sessions. They may also send a few bottles to friends for limited distro in Europe. I caught a bottle of Igors 2014 on a shelf at Bierhalle Deconinck in Belgium last month.
