TWStandley's "LIF" LIF

I posted this somewhere before:

Indy 500 themed Local LIF
- Fastest time around I-465 (clockwise or counterclockwise, your choice)
- I will sit in the backseat and drink craft beer (not sure if this is legal...)
- One month from today to post a time
- Multiple attempts allowed
- Getting pulled over does not stop the clock
- Winner can choose any 3 bottles from my collection

I obviously would never put this LIF into action, since I don't like hanging out with other people.

 

But... but you seem like a jolly good fellow :-?

 

My idea for a LIF is to have the contestants guess who my 10th favorite currant NBA player is. The hints would be me ranking 1-9 until we got a winner. This is a little more interesting because I like some obscure players

I know it's not super creative but it's certainly realistic

My LIF is to give a bottle(s) to the person who can spot the most thread in the wrong forums.

In the event that you pick this one, I am claiming this thread.

 

Alright, you got me. I really just don't want to get into a car accident once someone realizes 1 of the 3 bottles could be a Big John.

 

Thought most NBA players were humans, not berries...

 

Beer Challenge/Video Post LIF
-Must pick 2 of the following to enter and post a video of the two challenges
-I will pick my favorite 3 entrants
-Then everybody will vote for the best

CHALLENGES:
•Drink a 7% or above abv beer through a straw
•Beer bong a 10% abv beer
•Drink a whole bomber (from the bomber) with no hands
•Build and drink a beer from the biggest "Luge" you can make
•Make your Mom (or a female your moms age) drink a entire 12%+ abv beer
•Play beer pong with beer that we all know you should be playing with
•Give an expensive/amazing beer to a homeless person

I want to run this either way, but this was my recent LIF idea:

Prior to the 2012 Olympics, entrants predict total American medal counts in each of gold, silver, and bronze.

The person who gets the closest on gold medal count is winner #1. They get a sweet box from me. They're also shipper #1.
The person who gets the closest on silver medal count and is not from the same region as winner #1 is winner #2. They get a (not quite as sweet, but still pretty) sweet box from me.
The person who gets the closest on bronze medal count and is not from the same region as either winner #1 or winner #2 is winner #3. They get a nice box from me.

After they get my boxes, though, the three winners have to work out a triangle trade with each other (#1 ships to #2, who ships to #3, who ships to #1) and post the hauls from that trade in the LIF thread also. That's the fun part.

 

Here is my totally awesome, creative, fun, interesting and realistic idea for an LIF.

It's called:

THE FREE WILLY LIF

For this LIF, I would have people release their precious whales from the confines of the cellar, and be shared with other BAs.....

So, the person would need to open and share a whale with other BAs, post a picture of the bottle poured into 3 or more glasses, and list all BAs who participated in slaying the whale. The community would choose the winner based on what entry follows those few rules, and the number of "likes" the post w/ the picture of the whale gets. People will be encouraged to like the posts based on the "strength of the whale" and number of BAs it was shared with etc.

A lot of great beers could be shared with an LIF like this.....

 

But if everyone drinks their whales, how are we supposed to measure beer-penis sizes in the trade forums?

I've been thinking about this one for awhile, but I think it fits here. It's called the "Growler Bank". I have a growler filled with coins (I won't say the exact mix of coins - pennies, dimes, nickels, quarters, or foreign coins, for example, so no one can try to figure out the answer ahead of time). Anyway, my four year old keeps begging me to take it to one of those CoinStar places to turn it into cash (so she can buy toys of course), but I'd like see who can come closest to guessing the NUMBER of coins this growler holds (not the $$ amount). I'll post a picture or two so people can get an idea. I'd send locals and a want or two.

 

This has actually been done somewhat recently, except it was dollar amount and not number of coins. At any rate, still a good idea.

Mystery bottle LIF. My LiF is based on something easy like the price per gallon the last time I bought gas. I then send a box containing two bombers to the winner with one of the bottles wrapped up so they don't know the contents (mystery bottle) and one as is (bottle #2) so they know what the bottle contains( maybe some extras as well to make it worth while). The recipient then has to start their own LIF that contains one of the two bottles I sent, either the mystery bottle still in its wrapping or the other bottle that is now wrapped up plus another bottle. The next LIF winner then also has to make a choice of known or unknown. The mystery behind the wrapping could be an awesome bottle or a double-deuce of steel reserve. Winners of LIFs would only post the portion of their haul that isn't goi g to be part of the next round. I would post a photo of mystery bottle #1 in the thread with identifying characteristics to ensure recipient #1 didn't peek, as would other senders. Similar in concept to my recent 50 State LIF where this LIF starts a string of LIFs all related to each other. Cool idea OP. Cheers!
