Had one last night. 3.25 to 3.5 out of 5. Just pretty meh. Overcarbed like crazy. Had trouble finishing the whole thing. Was thinking of drain pouring it.. and for those of yall that know me, I've only drain poured one beer in my life.

yep def because they bottle condition, they need to spend some more time on quality assurance because right now it varies too much. Batch to batch they get different results. Anyone know the price on barrel of love?

Yeah just opened the bottle I got (cost like $14 iirc) almost definitely the highest carbed boubon barreled stout I've had, super weak mouth on it. Got very little bourbon from it at all, some chocolate/ dark malt notes but if you haven't bought a bottle I'd pass. On my system I'd give it a 2 (I have a weird system though... 1 - wouldn't drink if free, 2 - would drink if was free, 3 - would drink if price lower, 4 - would drink at current price, 5 - would drink at any price).

    Not worth the coin.

Had Barrel of Love last night at a bottleshare and it was just ok nothing special. Weak mouthfeel, barely any chocolate or even barrel flavor, and high carbonation.

Did someone post that BCBCS is label approved already?

Yes, there was much rejoicing a few weeks ago when it was approved. Technically, BCBCS was approved from 2012's release, BUT since they changed the format from bombers to 12oz. bottles, they had to get re-approval.

Many more states are actually active in the SA forum, so there's not the same sense of community :slight_frown:.

The more time goes by the less I think we're going to get the variants at all. I honestly think we won't, that beer probably went somewhere else already AKA the surprise drops in GA.

    Time to trade for them.
