The bottle of coffee noir I got from Total Wine was visibly leaking when I picked up the bottle. Still wet, dripping down the side. I got it replaced with a different bottle, they're giving that bottle to someone on staff.

Is anyone else disappointed in the fact that no one is talking about Miller Fortune on here? I cannot believe we all missed that release (or label approval).....and I am afraid that I won't be able to get my hands on any.

It really is amazing how y'all find something to whine about with EVERY freakin release.

Who pissed in your Cheerios? Leaking bottles is a legit concern.

I thought I was the only one w/prairie rust problems! Got a Prairie Noir from last month's batch in OK and all I could taste was rust :slight_frown: my 2 bombs and 1 of 2 vanillas so far have been fine but I have another prairie noir I'm sitting on from the same batch that I'm worried about

Oh yeah, big time. Let's alert the TABC and let them know we're getting bottles that really shouldn't be sold to us, send 'em back to OK. Every Prairie I've had has been fine, I'm starting to wonder if people just make shit up on here to decimate the extreme hyperbole that some of these releases are receiving.

I've personally consumed like 20 prairie noirs & bombs (pink and orange). Some have had a little rust but non tasted off at all. I've also traded another dozen or so and have heard zero complaints. Like I mentioned earlier, I've had many other craft beers that were waxed with similar issues but non were bad IMO.

I will say that I think the bottle taste better than draft with Bomb!

I believe the capping issue was fixed with orange wax bomb going forward. Maybe these were capped before orange wax was...?

Either way we should probably all drink a big nice glass of stfu and enjoy the beer.

I heard this year's release of stfu was infected. Ill pass.

Opened a 1902 King's Ale - after cutting through the lead-based sealing, noticed that the cap had some super rusty tones going on, decided to press on but then the cork was degraded!

Was like no thank you I value my safety and the safety of my drinking buddies so we drain-poured it. Really dodged a bullet there.

Obviously, several people have had issues with caps/wax. That cannot be denied. I had an issue with a pink Bomb and it still drank really well. Some have had issues with taste. I do not believe that people come on here to bash a release/brewery, unless you're Deep Ellum, or to stoke the fire. There definitely is an issue and I'm confident that the guys at Prairie are taking care of that issue. As far as getting TABC involved...their performance speaks for itself.

No, you are correct, obviously every photo that has been posted is fake just to give Prairie a bad name.

On the caps, I haven't seen it but once they're bottled there may be excess beer on the rim of the beer/top bottle from filling. Once it waxes, and sits like TABC wants it to, it probably should rust. Just chemically what happens. Don't think it would affect the beer though.

    You mean this one:
Where you start off by attacking people instead of trying to have a thoughtful discussion?

Leaking bottles and rusted caps are a valid concern. No one mentioned getting the TABC involved (except you).

No one to my knowledge has complained about a lot (most) of the recent releases: To Ol, H&G Greenhouse, ABW HM Black IPA, Real Ale Brewer's Cut DIPA and CA common, etc.

I'm pretty sure it's just moisture if they're using any kind of double boiler system to wax. Quit crying you big boobies.

I recently had a Orange Wax bomb and it was infected with spicy chocolate awesomeness.
I'm starting to think that I like infected beers...Ranger Creek Small Batch 3 has gotten better.
