Going to go hunting for it in MKE today. Pretty sure Discount still has some.

I don't know. Serious question: what is the most appropriate way for bottle shops to dispose of old ipa's?

If they have a good relationship with the distributor, they can ask them to take it back. Sometimes they will, and then sell it at a discount to somebody else.

Ah, thought you meant Milwaukee East Side. Still about 10 cases floating around at various stores down here. Whole Foods, Otto's have the most if you end up in the area.

Lol, this makes me think of selling old IPAs to college kids that only want to get drunk. We could have dropboxes on college campuses to donate old IPAs.

As more breweries pop up and more IPAs hit shelves, I think the problem of old IPAs is only going to get worse and potentially hurt some breweries.

Like Alesmith. Their IPA is one of the best in the world if it's 2 months or younger. It hit Wisconsin shelves fresh last November-ish, but then we kept getting batches that were 2-3 months old and they sat on the shelves. Some folks trying Alesmith for the first time got some really old IPA's, which definitely skewed their opinions on the brewery.

A bunch of IPA bottled at the beginning of June just hit, and it tastes pretty darn good. Go get it now- $6 a bottle.
