That is one of my favorite Queen Latifah songs. Speaking of unity...

Us South Sound BA's have our fun, Seattle"ite's and Belligham does too but does anyone think we could all meet in the middle for a big BA ONLY Western Washington beer event? Logistically, it may be a stretch considering the venue would need to be rather large and willing to accomodate wild hogs like Snoop Doug, Bill Rabb and Terry. The price needs to be reasonable so many can attend. I always enjoy trying new beer, learning from fellow BA's and of course the entertainment factor is a plus. Seattle would be middle ground but I would not want this to turn into a Seattle BA only event. Would anyone be willing to attend or assist in organizing?

Thoughts? Am I cracked out? All feedback is welcome.

Eat, drink, be merry and drink some more.
    Josh

The Operation Ivy song came to my mind...
And I have yet to meet any BAs.

    Hi Josh,
Count me in. There have been a couple of false starts lately. No one's fault but it shows how difficult it is to follow through.
Not complaining since I haven't been part of the solution myself. Sure would like to see it happen though.
We have beer in common, music, not so much

This sounds like a great idea. Maybe this can be organized around an event where people are going anyway. For example, last fall during the AftW release in Portland, there was a large tasting event at the Commons the night before where everyone brought coolers of their beers to open and share. That was a lot of fun. Its just a matter of finding the right venue and time.

I keep hearing this voice that says "If you plan it, they will come." I'm going to see how many bites on this thread we receive.

Anybody have any general thoughts on location or any "in's" with locals that wouls entertain the notion of us BA's hanging around. A private room would be a must.

I do like Brendan's idea but the only things I can forsee for early 2013 would be the local Barleytwine Fests. I have not exactly paid much attention to up and coming fests as of late either.

I was thinking of an early 2013 showing. I have a baby due anyday now so between that and holidays it may hard to muster up something by the end of this year.

In. Right now my schedule gives me Fridays and Saturdays off. BTW, no Old Bounder news yet. Generally it appears December-ish, after Cabin Fever comes out. There's some with your name all over it.

Great news Terry. This will be a great time if we can get it pulled off this time.
Guys responding who I've conversed with but haven't met. Really looking forward to the possibilities.
