Salt Lake City, UT (January 20, 2014) - Uinta Brewing Company introduces Tinder Rauchbier, the newest limited addition brew to their Crooked Line.

Inspired by Owner Will Hamill and Headbrewer Kevin Ely's recent trip to Germany to inspect new brewhouse equipment, Tinder is a German-style Rauchbier (Smoked Beer) that kindles moderate malty sweetness and robust smokiness. Brewed with Bamberg beechwood-smoked malt, this medium-bodied lager ignites distinct campfire smoke flavors and aroma.
Aromatic, bright and balanced, Tinder is bottle conditioned and has an ABV of 6.5%. Scheduled to hit select shelves in late January, Tinder is a limited release beer, only 180bbls were brewed.

Keeping with Uinta's Crooked Line tradition of supporting local art talent, Tinder's label art was produced by Leia Bell, a local print artist. Leia was also the artist for Uinta's Tilted Smile and Sea Legs labels.

The world need's more smoked beers. I'm still crushed at not having found Oskar the Grauch anywhere.

Don't feel too bad- smoke presence was so light in that guy, I thought it was a regular (albeit tasty) IPA until it warmed up significantly.

Looking forward to Uinta's Tinder! I wonder if it will be able to match me up with strangers based solely on image though..

That's the experience I had with Burning Bush IPA from Golden Road. Good IPA with only slight smoke notes.
