    I just got a couple of bottles of new McEwans brews and they have clear bottles too :slight_frown:
    though the beer I'm expecting the least from Bombardier The Colonel's reserve
    actually has a nice brown bottle.

    Have they changed the bottle to the Harvest Pale becomes I am sur I've had it before
    but don't recognise the label.

    The Shipstone's beer, like all of Colin's brews, come in brown bottles.

    I stand corrected.
    I looked at the newspaper article you linked to on my phone earlier and it looked like a clear bottle in the tiny teeny picture !
    Can see its brown now!

    Yeah, my bottle was brown but I bought it some time last year. I noticed they made the switch to clear bottles recently - bollocks! Harvest ale is nice on cask.....

    In other news, I'm currently drinking Elgood's Indian Summer. Forgettable....

    Why would you bottle a good brew in clear bottles? Is it really saving that much money?

    I suppose they might want it to stand out on the shelf, a clear bottle with a golden beer amidst the brown. Maybe it's a Camra plot to make cask look even better than the bottle beer.

    My dad does it with his homebrew so he can see the sediment better.

    The bottle says "If you like hops, You'll simply love this"
    well I don'ts smell that much pouring it

    Yesterday I thought I had managed to lose both my wallet & passport(which I need for an application) in one
    I thought it was in the house somewhere so I waited before doing anything which mean't a sleepless night

    Today I have found where the cat knocked them off to
    so with a huge sigh of relief and the need of it am opening a bottle of Ticketybrew Dubbel

    a couple of bottles of Cervezas Kettal, El Alambiques & La Espiga. Rather nice for a hot afternoon in the garden watching the grass grow.

    What I meant was more along the lines of whether it was a good beer or not. I mean, if it's an awesome imperial stout then I'd pay for it. It's limited but it's not selling out that quickly plus they'll make some more next year I'm sure.

    Here's a story for ya. I had to renew my drivers license last year and they changed the rules. One had to bring in a bill, water-electricity- etc, and a birth certificate or passport. Being born in Austria, my bc was hardly a help, and my passport expired in 1978 so...I had to get a new passport just to renew my drivers license. You KNOW how expensive passports are to get. :slight_frown:

    Couple of Out There brewing beers, SWB Sigma, a Belle Rose IPA, N. Yorks Kiwi, couple of Yeovil ales.

    Tip: don't go shopping whilst pissed, you buy shit you don't need and doesn't fit properly.
