UK Weekend Beerage

Was in the Clachaig Inn up at glencoe this weekend, had 14 handpumps on. You'd have thought there would have been a good pint on then? Wrong, there were two decent ones in Kelpie and another I forget the name of, the rest were so dull - caledonian, TSA and a bunch of other crap ones. I had at least a half pint of each too. Their whisky selection is good though

also tried a couple of keg beers from williams, their blackball stout and draught, both were decent enough

 

Fort Lapin Tripel. Acquired in Brugge last year. Not bad.....

 

1906 Reserva Especial.

 

A pint each of Atlantic Drift and AKA IPA from Cromarty this afternoon. Lovely stuff.

 

Yeah, I cracked one of those earlier as well. Top notch dark lager, especially for all of 50p!! Might go back and grab some more if I can....

Now sipping on a Brugse Zot.

 

Draught is a quaffable pint, I found it in one place where it was (presumably as an introductory offer) cheaper than Fosters. That was something of a no-brainer.

 

A Chimay Red to see out the evening....

 

Plough at Stathern, another stunning Vale village with 2 pubs.
Pint of Belvoir Star bitter aka Shipstone's for those with long and fond memories , letter perfect and worth swimming the Arctic Ocean to get hold of;

 

it is a class act, one of the finest Stouts anywhere.

 

Quaffed a Bishop's Farewell earlier, and am now sipping on Tiny Rebel's Hadouken. Hops!

Strange that both breweries had a six pointed star as their logo.
I actually had a pint of Phipp's Red Star (brewed by the Grainstore Brewery) last April in the Tollemache Arms at Buckminster.
