I was going to say yes, but then I went and checked the score I gave Rosey Nosey. Turns out I previously thought that was even worse!!

    Now on Badger's Poacher's Choice - tasty....

It WAS amazing. All of the good qualities of a 50 60 year old beer minus the negatives. Sherry, leather, huge caramel malt, wow, it was, to be repetitive, AMAZING.

    Happy New Year
Toasted with Emelisse Imperial Russian Stout, a fantastic effort. Wholesome, bitter and chocolately with a decent alcohol afterburn for 9.8%, followed by the White Label Peated Whisky malt version, which started off quite unpleasantly but soon mellowed into a gorgeous effort similar to the original with a slight hint of sourness and no alcohol burn at all, impressive at 11%.

I must admit I had the unfortunate notion to ponder what Courage RIS would taste
like with a dash/pouring of Jager
and now in the morning the Siege of Leningrad is going on in my head :open_mouth:

bit of bad timing this morning, we went on our usual New Years day walk but because of the threat of heavy rain got back 30 minutes before the pub opened. Decided to get the wood burning stove going and chilled out with a few bottles at home instead, ending the day with a Brooklyn Monster Ale from the dark reaches of the cellar.

Kicking off 2014 with some bollocks from Greene King. Luckily I've got some better Christmas brews stashed away for the next day or two....
