Marston's Ashes Ale. This brew's performance is on a par with the English cricket team....

First beer run in a few weeks was a success. 3 new Brains Craft Brewery beers (Rye, Black IPA and Helles), Dolle Stille Nacht, SN Celebration and Magic Rock Bearded Lady (better be good for six quid). Was almost tempted by a Tempest Chipotle Porter too.

Also this beer was added before the brewery was even started :grimacing:

Bad Seed's Hefeweizen. Bit of a gusher, and the flavour has a character that makes me think high fermentation temp....

Just drank the Beer Geek Breakfast, it was really really good. Probably the most coffee forward beer I've had so far, but I love coffee so its all good.

Beer Geek Breakfast is awesome. One of the best Mikkeller brews that I've had.

Right - I've just cracked SN Celebration. Celebrate good times, come on!!

I remember being really underwhelmed by both the Beer Geek and Beer Hop Breakfasts. Amazing smell, decent taste but pretty watery texture. What I call 'the Rogue character'.

First good beer session in a while, so far:
Pipes Helles Lager (formerly Bare Naked beer)
Brains Craft Brewery Black Mountain (black ipa)
Brains Craft Brewery Rye Catcher (brown rye beer with US hops)
and now onto some heavier stuff, Wild Beer Raconteur to start off with (barleywine aged in Marc de Bourgogne barrels)

Polished off a Brains Craft Brewery Achilles Heel (Helles) and a Stille Nacht (amazing as always) and now on to the Magic Rock Bearded Lady.

Tesco now have added Revisionist Red Ale
    & Dark IPA to
their carft brewed by Marston's exclusively for Tesco
    alongside the Revisionist Craft Lager

    Opened the red tonight
I hope there is more taste than aroma :astonished:

They were £1.76 and not part of the 4 for £6 deal

Sainsbury's gave us Infra red with big red liquorice & huge forward hops
Tesco gives us this Pedigree with stewed sprouts & minimal hops
Lacklustre is the word that sums it up best.

I had planned on just having the Revisionist Red but with being such a (not so) bitter disappointment
opening the Dark IPA in the hope of getting the slightest bit of beer flavour tonight.

    Strange
that with the Tesco/Marston Revisionist line the one I'd recommend is the lager
just don't bother with the Dark IPA
    if I may quote myself
    "
Again the flavours are there but really scaled back It's like a half decent black IPA
    watered down with Evian
the hops and roast start on the tongue for a moment than start falter
leaving a feeling of charcoal and water

    just wrong on the mouthfeel
    very watery
if this was twice as good it would still be half hearted "
