I once cycled six miles uphill to a pub in the sunshine and had a delicious pint of London Pride. On two subsequent visits to the same pub, sans bike, the beer was vinegar.

There's nothing quite like the first pint of a new cask of Doom Bar!

It's the end of my working week
Greene King Noble, English craft lager.

Slightly better than Carling, nice aroma though.

It's certainly better than the rest of the cask, and the bottles

Now onto homebrewed strong belgian ale, in a pilsner glass. Correct glassware wankers can GTF.

This Okell's porter is good stuff
    explains what happened yesterday.

Headed to B&Ms near home after work, the second I turned onto the booze aisle
saw woman put last bottle of the Ok's 'Aile' porter in her trolley, looked in her trolley about a dozen of them in there
struck up conversation hoping she would take one out so I could sample it
    I didn't ask outright & she didn't offer.

I asked staff member if any left in stock, said no but delivery due that night,
when I went in this morning they remembered me & brought them out to me

I need to get to B&M haha, seems like there's some good beers in there at the moment!

    I love B&Ms
the nature of the shop means regular stock rotation so there is always something new
(though you miss some of it when it's gone) & there is lots of stuff you wouldn't see in supermarkets
and the stuff you would see in supermarkets is much cheaper in B&M.

I mean they had Steven's Point Cascade, IPA and Amber lager (with Shipyard Bluefin Stout) at 79p per bottles
so that's four American beers tried out for just over £3 (how little would £3 get you in a spec beer shop)
Morrison's had them 'on offer' for £1.79 each.

I've been on Ba for just under 3 years now (I hadn't logged or recorded or scored beer before)
and am getting close to 900 dif beers now
without B&Ms it would have either been a lot less ales sampled or a much more expensive past time.

The one in Cardiff never seems to have any alcohol at all :slight_frown:
Love that beer. Buxton are arguably the best brewery in the country, especially so for Imperial Black, Axe Edge, and Tsar.

It was a great choice, definitely going to be ordering some more from them!

Just went into B&M, all the point stuff was gone but picked up some Okell's Aile x2 and one of their IPA's to try.
Picked up an Oakham ales Citra as I've heard good things!

Using the internet at a local Brains pub, sampled some of the BCB offerings.
Stars and Stripes - a US inspired wheat beer, (aka a soft bland-ish golden ale)
Gin Lane - made with Gin botanicals (again not great but interesting enough)
Brown Sauce - "a hoppy brown ale" (conversely not very interesting but actually quite nice)

Also had some Summer Wine Haka NZPA at the Urban Tap House which naturally blew the Brains range out of the water.

Had it at the local 'Spoons to wash down the large full English I'd just gorged on. I felt like a giant refreshed.

Their account on here keeps making hints about more beers to come. The big **** teases that they are

I'm a fan of the ones I've tried so far, shame the cans aren't selling well, I saw them at £1.49 each down in cornwall
