Had a good selection of cask and keg ales at my local last night. Magic rock redolent rye, siren craft baby wheel, ierra Nevada hop hunter ipa, hamelsworde lamplight coffee porter, brewfist space frontier grape ipa.

Not drinking now in January, see you all next month!

The magnet in Stockport. Was surprised to see the Sierra Nevada there.

Love the Yakima Valley, great American Pale Ale, worth finding. Saison was nice but went up like Vesuvius, the kitchen floor needed a clean anyway.

Just my last Wiper and True Milk Shake, now out of stouts and I don't want to order so I'm planning on visiting either Kris Wines or Bottledog when I'm next in London.

I went to both last week, as I live very near BottleDog. Shelves were a bit barren, but it seemed like the fellow was unloading some boxes. Kris Wines was nice, and I was very impressed with selection. I will be headed back up that way for certain.

Haha! I was hoping someone would chime in with an opinion on them, thanks. What do you reckon is the best way to get to Kris Wines? Just northern line to Camden Town and walk it?

I took the 390 bus from Kings Cross station, up York Way. It would be maybe a 15 minute walk uphill otherwise. I appreciated that their beer was sorted by country of origin. I got an 8Wired stout from New Zealand that I'm eager to try. I hadn't even heard of them prior. They had a decent selection from the US which also was nice to see some familiar brands in the event that I got desperate.

Heading into a dry January, but signed off with the bizarre but great Duchesse de Bourgogne and an awesome Harvey's Imperial Extra Double Stout

Bud I'm all for finding good reasons to drink more and stronger beer but don't forget the essential distilled malt beverage and intensely chilli infused food groups. I'm sure your local ayurvedic practitioner would approve wholemealedly

Trying the Lidl Hatherwood winter warmer - 5.5% dark ale brewed with "mulling syrup" by Hogsback . It's just out the fridge so it's not too offensive, I'm unsure whether I should allow it to warm up though. Might be quite good to make next years xmas pud with though

Can't throw this flu off so just one ale for me tonight
The Steam Machine's New Age Brown
I really enjoyed this and it was different enough from a stout or black ipa to make a mark to claim the US Brown style
