I was hoping my transatlantictrade package would arrive today so I could enjoy an ale on such a tough week both with money & events
So I'm beer less on my days off work
Watching the tracker I'm not sure if it will get here tomorrow before I go back to work on the real actual weekend
But I should hopefully have two beers from Nebraska soon

Just had my beer swap parcel delivered
They were huge Pixies fans and I sent them 2 bottles of Orbit's Hey
I got a bottle of Founders KBS good stuff but I've had it & IMHO getting a beer that needs aging is like getting a bike you can't ride for 3 years
I also got a 330ml can of Ska's Modus Mandarina
I'm not a big fan of orange but these IPAs are mostly citrus flavour so I'll give it a go and try to be open minded

    However they sent 3 beers
    & I got a 500Ml can of Bell's two hearted ale
    Which has made me overjoyed

Hopefully going to pick up a cloudwater dipa v3 tomorrow.
Had my can of human cannonball last night, took a photo with flash on. What do you guys think to this colour in an ipa?

@EmperorBevis to age KBS or not to age? Seems it is better to drink fresh, read more here.

@Georgefox have had a lot of IPAs from the East coast of US and it does seem like a trend and since Cloudwater have started using a Vermont yeast strain they are getting that same turbid orange juice look. I don't mind it at all and as long as the flavour is there happy days. Especially if Orange flavour follows through from the look.

Very N.E. IPA looking. I haven't had the beer, so I can't say if that's what they were going for or not.

Had the Thursday curry deal at the Tyburn which includes a beer...in this case Sixpoint Bengali. I'm not sure how a Weatherspoon's pub has Sixpoint on the menu regularly when I haven't seen it anywhere else. Not only was Bengali quite enjoyable, it is cheaper than Brewdog or even Budweiser at this place. 2.90/can at the pub (although not a very fancy pub) for this very tasty beer is pretty damn good in Central London.

Yeah they've had sixpoint cans at all spoons for a while now.

On another note I found my local tesco has started stocking cans of Brooklyn east ipa, pretty pleased with this.

    Wow KBS best fresh
My only time trying it was a year and a half bottle
I thought it was really good but lacked something
I thought it wasn't aged enough
Now I see it wasn't fresh enough
    Today is a good day

I guess I'll have to drink all four of mine now then! I have a couple of 2015's in the cellar back in the States, I'll have to see how they held up after a year and a half by the time I get there.

I know, but it surprises me that it is available there and not at other places...plus that it is cheaper than the other beer options.

Had another one recently like this on cask, Cotopaxi from track brewing. Has anybody had the new brewdog born to die yet? That's been a bit off my radar with all these other ipa releases!

Day off tomorrow, so for once my Friday is an actual Sunday. Bottle of Kernel IPA, few glasses of Saint Amour, half price Papa Johns XXL pizza (got tomorrow's breakfast covered) = perfect.

I had it today at Brewdog Clerkenwell. I really enjoyed it. It's very floral and fresh. I also had a Rochefort 10 for the first time tonight. I'm not very informed about Belgian beers and will have to do a lot of sampling before I find some I like.

    Have had...
Beavertown - Bloody 'Ell Blood Orange IPA...bloody lovely,
Tempest - Old Parochial Scotch Ale, is this aged in Whisky barrels? Definitely has a Whisky background,
Buxton Belgian Style Tripel, said it before and I'll continue to say it, never had a bad Buxton beer,
Santa Fe - Java Imperial Stout, massive coffee flavour, will be up half the night,
Butternuts - Moo Thunder Milk Stout, very decent mild stout, mild coffee/chocolate,
Founders - Breakfast Stout, enough coffee to get you started in the morning and keep you going 'til lunch.

Cobra with my curry earlier, was the best option. Now cannonball. Also off topic but I drove my brothers tesla for the first time earlier today and holy fuck do I want one. How much do badly used kkidneys sell for?

Craigellachie barrels apparently. Never had this new batch but the first batch which I loved was sherry and whisky casks, then blended. Wonder how this one turned out though I imagine the Speyside whisky would sherry things up a bit anyway.
