Ha, ha, ha...was on vacation in NY and Boston this past week, so stopped off at Tree House Brewing. I was able to get 6x Julius and 6x Haze and spent the weekend drinking some of that.
I also had a great sour from Plan Bee Farm Brewery in Poughkeepsie (Bartlett) and landed Lunch from Maine Brewing at a pub in Boston.
Probably about the best beer days I could have hoped for while visiting the States.

It's Friday night and so far I've had:

London Beer Factory - Beyond the Pale
    Rooster - Yankee
    Brewdog - Rye Hammer
    Thornbridge - Jaipur X

This last one's gonna sink me......

Another great trip to Poland, Warsaw this time :

    Doctor Brew Molly IPA
    Pinta Kwas Gamma
    Piwne Podziemie Juicilicious, Coffeelicious, Katastorfa
    Trzech Kumpli Misty
    Birbant Hopsbant Citra IPA
Artezan Mera IPA, Pacific IPA, Czarna Wolga, Wit, Ay Caramba, Rampobon, Chlesz Ciasteczko
Pracownia Piwa Smoky Doe, Mr Hard's Rocks RIS
    Widawa Simcoe Pils
    Kingpin Fake Lancelot, Aficionado
    Jabeerwocky High Oats
    Profesja Basista
    Lancut Czarna Polewka
    Palatum Primus
    AleBrowar Deep Love
    Podgorz Usmiech Anieli
    Rockmill Play for Me

Really solid beer scene, with a huge amount of taphouses which I barely touched. Really nice knowledgeable staff, happy to give tasters/recommendations. Many had tasting flights, which was great as the trend for the differential between 300 and 500 ml to be tiny, the commonest pours, tending to go for the larger as a result. Great that there is no bottle charge so you can just crack a bottle without extra charge if you don't fancy the tap beers. As you can see went totally Polish but all of the bars had some fantastic international beers, not many UK brews as a barman told me that it supposedly costs a lot to ship than say the US ?!? 2 standouts, Pracownia Piwa's RIS, one of the best I have drunk and Podgorz Usmiech Anieli, a cask stout, which the barman took about 15 mins to dispense but was definitely worth the wait.

    na zdrowie!

Spent last week camping around various parts of Scotland. Took some verdant beers for the camp sites and I do enjoy their hoppy beers. In terms of Scottish beers visited fyne ales brewery which was good and the Black Isle bar in Inverness. Both decent breweries. The other pubs we went to had some ok ales from the likes of Orkney but nothing particularly outstanding and of course had the obligatory tennents. Stopped off at brewdog merchant city in Glasgow on the way back as well as the awesome pot still.

After lots of hoppy pale ales it's been nice to take a break from those recently. Really enjoyed a few pints of London Pride last night at the local "locals' local", a beer I normally don't like on tap but it wasn't as slimy as I normally find it, just full bodied, fruity and basically just enjoyable.

Visit to the Buxton tap house last night, that new maple truffle ice cream waffle is outstanding and yellow belly sundae on keg lovely.

I’m not a great fan of London Pride either (though I do like Chiswick) – but “slimy”? Please explain further...

When I've had it on cask before the texture and taste have just made me think of soap. It's the kind of beer though, because it's so widespread, that will vary a lot from place to place. I must have just stumbled on the wrong places.

    Alright, it's the weekend....

    Tonight I've had:
    Time & Tide Spratwaffler
    Wild Beer Millionaire
    Evil Twin's Lil' B
    Brewdog New England IPA V2

All good, though I'm now slightly pissed

Having ran out of Rudgates Ruby mild which is outstanding btw I had to go to a local shop with zero choice, I grabbed some draught cans of Murphys Irish stout and its pretty good, very surprised

Rudgate's Mild is always good - a recent recipient of yet more medals from CAMRA and SIBA....

As for me, I'm currently trying Brewdog's Pump Action Poet (a stonefruit IPA). Not as fruity as it could be but OK.

    Had a few last night:
Siren Crema white Stout with coffee
    Uerige Altbier
    Weird Beard Saison 28
Northern Monk / Alefarm Saesoner Peach Farmhouse Ale
Northern Monk / Other Half Leeds Lurking cherry and coffee imperial porter

The Northern Monk beers were the highlights of course. It's just annoying how strong they were.

Fantastic Tap Takeover from Almanac at Brewdog Bristol :

    Lavender Honey
    Farmers Reserve Blackberry
    Apricot de Brettaville
    Hoppy Sour - Azacca
    Farmers Reserve Grand Cru

Full rainbow of sour beers with Grand Cru a beauty to convert wine drinkers to beers and Hoppy Sour hopheads to sour beers. All top notch.

Followed up with a cheeky half of Moors Rebirth, a lovely nutty forward reinterpretation of Fullers ESB, then to Moor and Left Handed Giant taprooms to try Rebirth again and a few hoppy ales including a very nice Duet from LHG who also have some very nice new shiny kit which they are revving up. Will recharge for the Brewery Trail tomorrow.

    This was followed up with:

    Anchor - Steam lager
    Vocation - Heart & Soul
    Thornbridge - Jaipur X
    Innis & Gunn -Treacle Porter

    A good evening's drinking....

Another great East Bristol Brewery Trail :

    Arbor Yakima Baby
    Arbor Breakfast Stout
    Dawkins Azacca
    Dawkins Resolution
Left Handed Giant BA Black Angus
Left Handed Giant/ Wiper and True/Deya/Verdant BCBF IPA
    Good Chemistry Kokomo Weekend
    Good Chemistry Disco Fizz Gooseberry
    Moor Benny Havens

Very nice range from all brewers. Stand out was the collab, an East Coast feel IPA but with Australian hops. This will be pouring at Bristol Craft Beer Festival in Sept. If all the beers are as good as this should be cracking.

Had a few Skye beers on Skye, not exactly mind blowing stuff but well made at least. Shame their shop doesn't have a license, so no tasting there - Talisker also doesn't have one which is a bit dissapointing

Nice weekend trying a few new brews in Bristol :

    Left Handed Giant Cheeseburger Cavalry
Brew by Numbers 01/20 Saison, 10/09 Coffee Porter, 16/07 Red Ale, 11/03 Session Ale
    Lost and Grounded/Verdant Accidental Icarus
Lost and Grounded/Verdant/Cloudwater Lorel and Ardi
    Lost and Grounded Keller Pils
    Prearis Quadrocinno

Best for me was the BBNo. 11/03 Session Ale, another low bitter hazy juicy banger. Was going to now take it easy until Bristol Craft Beer Festival in a few weeks (not Extravaganzer it next weekend, beer list looks immense) but was informed that Wild Beer have a Dugges tap takeover on Weds with BA Anagram and a number of other tasties on show :stuck_out_tongue:
