    Telegraph Brewing.

I have at very least throroughly enjoyed every beer I've had from them. Gypsy Ale and Reserve Wheat are both excellent beers.

Very nice seeing this! Also you cannot forget Bitter Valentine, easily the best DIPA in the state!

In Connecticut people think of Two Roads or Back East or any number of up and coming breweries. Beer'd Brewing in Stonnington, Ct., last town before R.I., has got the goods. He never brews the same dbl ipa, his wit is fantastic and i've had his russian imp stout which was very good. He'll fill any growler ( i went in with a beach sand pail and he filled!! lol)

I agree with New Holland, which often is overshadowed by its fairly close neighbors, Founders and Bell's. New Holland makes some wodnerfully consistent, solid to very good beers and some things that are more sublime. The variety they make wth their Hatters is one of the more interesting releases around.

Another brewery that I think gets overlooked when people discuss god beers (though it does have a ncie rating) is Victory. Again, solid lineup of core beers that never disspoint. Hop Devil, Prima Pils and Headwaters are always tasty. Also, they have some beers that are very well done representatons of their styles for my taste. Helios, Otto and Mad King's Weiss come to mind. Then there are the ones that do not ever get mentioned, probably becase they have more limited ditribution, such as Uncle Teddy's bitter, Ranch Double IPA, and Scarlett Fire (a really nice and underappreciated rachbier). I just think for what they do (core and non-core), there are few breweries as all-around excellent as Victory.

Short's. Only distributed in Michigan (though they seem to hit every area in Michigan pretty well). Not everything they do is GREAT, as they experiment a lot, but the stuff they "hit" on is impeccable.

I agree with this completely. Citra Dog is pretty damn good too.

Sly Fox. I think they are unappreciated because their hop-forward offerings are not very impressive, but they do lagers as well as anyone.

For me I'd say old standbys like Sam Adams and SNPA. They don't have that new/small brewery shine and fanatic followers. They're also long past getting hyped, often get overlooked, and may not always blow your mind or try perform consciousness expansion on your palette but they're there for you when you need them.

When you're in a bar that doesn't cater to beer enthusiasts at all and you want a beer, chances are they are there either on draft or in bottle.

When you're having a BBQ or party and as a host want to pick up something accessible and reasonably priced that you don't mind being stuck with as leftovers, they are there.

When you need to pick up a quick sixer (or twelver?) to take with you somewhere and the significant other won't let you browse, they are there in the grocery store.

I've had SNPA and various Sam Adams offerings come up huge for me in the past few months and that really made me reconsider my thoughts on these breweries.

I'll second Smuttynose too because I wrote them off in my mind after a few unimpressive experiences early on in my days as a beer enthusiast and had some of their big beers really impress me recently.

    Revolution.

It seems to have a pretty modest number of reviews and some solid scores, but based on the two beers I've had (HUGE sample size, I know), I'd consider them World Class. Anti-Hero and Double Fist are two of the best beers that I've tasted. I really can't wait until they ship out here to Michigan. Awesome, awesome stuff.

Under-appreciated would have been a better thread title

Haters are gonna hate, but.... Magic Hat. Nationally distributing a new experimental beer every single season is unheard of for a brewery their size. Of course there are some misses, but there are some good ones too (even if some BAs won't admit it). The rotating IPA series are all decent brews. The seasonal beers usually hit their marks too. Magic Hat case, 12-pack, 6-pack prices are on the cheaper side compared to other craft beers. Magic Hat beers are often gateway beers for new craft beer drinkers. Are there better beers/breweries? Most certainly... but Magic Hat definately falls into the "under-appreciated" category, at least around these parts.

Love this brewery. Personal favorites: Victory 12 and Yakima Glory.

Considering their size and their distribution area, I rarely hear anyone ever talk about Great Divide on this site... Yeti comes up from time to time, but you never hear how solid Titan IPA is, or Rumble Oaked IPA, or the Claymore Scotch Ale, or really ANYTHING (other than the occasional Yeti reference). GD, for me, is one of the most consistent breweries out there, and I can't think of a single beer of theirs I've had that didn't make me smile.

Such a great IPA that I drink more than my fair share of. They also do some decent barrel-aged beers that don't get enough credit in my opinion.

Howzabout Harpoon? Hardly never ever seen their beers discussed on this site. Haven't had too many of their offerings, but Phin & Matt's Rye IPA makes my mouth water just thinking about it, and their Leviathan series is always a treat.
